Large portions of food but very salty. I would’ve liked to be able to add my own seasoning on Chips. Service is very slow for drinks. But very friendly staff .
Lovely place, food lovely and hot big portion apart from mash potatoes it was frozen potato. But definitely would go back.
The lushest Sunday roast beef dinner I’ve had in a pub in a very long time. Would highly recommend.
We had a very enjoyable lunch. The food, atmosphere and staff were great, as usual.
Super food although our order wasn't printed (in the kitchen) hence we had to wait awhile for our lunch. Nonetheless, service was brilliant and the food was very tasty indeed!
Check in was very easy and staff very friendly. Room was very clean and lovely welcome tray of tea and biscuits. Shower powerful and lovely and hot. We ate in the pub in the evening, all of us had fantastic meals, absolutely nothing to grumble about. Very dog friendly as well which is great. Treats on bar and no problem with them being left in room. The only complaint I have is the bed. The springs were unbearable and today I ache and the pillows are very thin. These could be easily sorted. Wonderful breakfast even with my awkward requests. Thanks so much!
We were staying at the nearby Hilton and wanted to go out for dinner and chose the Fox and Goat as it was nearby. Really excellent service, really lovely with our kids who are quiet young and were up pretty late for them. Food was great and atmosphere was very relaxed. Will go again if we are in the area. Thank you
Lovely food but too much noise from the bar in the restaurant - a bit more separation would be nice.
The sunday lunch was excellent but could have been hotter. Too many tables which made passing waitresses and diners brush against you. There was a large fluffy "collie" dog at the next table that was not controlled by the owners, as it seemed to be left to wander. In a dining area, dogs should be banned! There should NOT be a automatic service charge. This should be left to the discretion of the individual customer. Also, the bar area is too cramped due to furniture.
