Beautiful country pub. Friendly and attentive staff and great food!
It was our first time visiting The George Eartham and we were pleasantly surprised as to how cosy and friendly the who place was. We had a really enjoyable lunch and all the staff were very friendly too. We will definitely be visiting this pub/restaurant again soon.
It was a very enjoyable Birthday with my family the service and food was great.
The food was amazing ! Very tasty roast and lovely gravy
Seven clean plates says it all service was great attentive but not in your face.
Really good service, great food and a beautiful pub. The best sticky toffee pudding ever.
Great atmosphere & service & lovely food. Perfect for a date night
Great food, lovely pub and our waiter (didn’t get his name) was very friendly
Charming atmosphere; uncomplicated, well-prepared food; good, friendly and quick service
The staff were all very helpful and the food was very nice
We had a lovely evening. Food was very good and a little different. Pub looked very festive and staff knowledgeable and attentive. Will definitely visit again.
The George has maintained an extremely good standard in every respect for a long time now. The food is always good and priced reasonably, staff are always charming and they are always willing to seat me at a paticular table to suit my hearing disablity. Just wish I lived in Eartham as they have managed to maintain that very special 'pub' atmosphere, unlike so many of their competitors that are simply restaurants that sell beer - grudgingly! Rob LOCK
Excellent service and great food A pleasure to return again
Great food quality for the price and the pub has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Would highly recommend
Lovely roast - potatoes could have been crispier . Gravy was gorgeous and lots of turkey - we all really enjoyed our meals . The desserts were lovely too
Great pub, great food. Pretty busy today (Christmas) hence slower but totally attentive and acceptable service. Highly recommended.
When I booked some weeks ago I specifically asked for a quiet table as one of the party is hard of hearing. Our table was the first table after turning right when entering and was directly opposite the bar. The noise was so loud we could not hear what was being said and we had to shout for our guest to hear. What is the point of asking? A real disappointment. However the staff were efficient and the food was good. I would add we have probably been to the pub at least 6 times prior to this visit and we have always been accommodated and happy with our visit. Please make sure this comment is passed to the pub management, thank you,
Lovely ambiance, good choice of food and drinks and good value too. What more can anyone want. Will be back for sure.
Delicious food Cheerful/helpful staff Cosy atmosphere on a grey winter’s day
Delicious food, always a great choice for everyone’s taste. Friendly staff and a cosy charming interior. Highly recommended!
Fabulous food, the yummiest roast in a cosy, warm pub, great service.
The George is hands down the best pub I have been to. The quality of food is excellent and is matched by fantastic service. Absolutely recommend it!
First time visiting before the Cathedral service in Chichester. Sunday roast at The George was recommended to me by a fellow traveller during a long train journey one afternoon. It did not disappoint. Delicious. Hot and tasty.
As always, excellent food, menu choice, ambience and service as well as Anita’s cheery presence.
Our first visit to the George (travelled 1.5 hours through atrocious weather for a friends reunion) and it was well worth the effort. A beautiful pub tastefully decorated with knowledgable friendly staff and excellent fresh food superbly cooked. The wine list was excellent and priced realistically too. We’re already planning our next reunion in the spring to have a walk and see the bluebells. Only disappointment was no dairy free milk alternative available with our coffee.
Lovely pub and good food and service. Would have been nice to have the fire lit in the end room as was a mega cold night so we were not warm to start with but otherwise was all excellent.
Warm & welcoming service. Lovely atmosphere. Great food. A perfect Sunday lunch.
Everything about our dining experience last night was great. The couple we were with have been before but not for a long while. We also took other friends for lunch last month (they'd never been before) and they loved it and will definitely go back. Well done to The George and staff!
excellent - thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - great food - happy staff
Always enjoy eating at this lovely, friendly and well run pub. Staff lovely and food always great.
Everything was really lovely. I was worried because we’d booked a table at 12:45 and it felt a bit early for lunch but everyone at the George was really relaxed and didn’t rush us at all that we ended up sitting at the table until 4pm. The gravy was incredibly rich and there was plenty of food with gorgeous pork belly, crispy roast potatoes, amazing roasted carrots and massive Yorkshire puddings. We were gutted to miss out on dessert but will definitely be back. All in all, a very enjoyable afternoon with lovely cocktails, delicious food and a great atmosphere.
It's been a while since I'd been and the menu is still a bit samey, and certainly the starters have shrunk and the cost increased, so it will remain a once in a while restaurant which is a shame
Lovely pub with welcoming atmosphere and fabulous food. (We've never had a bad meal there). Very friendly, helpful and prompt service.
Amazing food and drinks… highly recommend the Sunday roast! Cosy atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. Couldn’t fault the service!
