The George at Eartham is always a good choice for decent food and service at a reasonable price. I have never felt it to be annoyingly busy.

Best Sunday roast I've had locally for years. We all had the roast beef and it was cooked to perfection service and atmosphere great.

First time at The George and we’ll definitely be returning! Food was incredible, service excellent and were made to feel really welcome and not at all rushed.

We have dined twice and each time have been blown away by the quality, inventiveness and taste of the food on the menu.

Food ok but service & allention slow. Will not be returning .

This was a first visit, on a Saturday afternoon, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all three of us….lovely atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food (my husband had the pork belly and he was absolutely blow away, it was one of the best restaurant meals he’d had in ages). Couldn’t have asked for more, we will visit again!

Food very good as was the service from the staff value for money was good overall very good experience the only negative was I was surprised to see a dog in the restaurant with one of the guests I am not a fan of dogs in restaurants

Yet again.. a wonderful visit to The George.. a beautiful pub, fantastic decor, great ambiance, amazing food and wonderful service from the staff. Booked party of 5 for my sons 21st, the pub has a lovely atmosphere with open fires and plenty of tables, i would suggest booking as it gets packed, parking at back of pub and prices very reasonable, food is all fresh and homemade and they made a fuss of my son and sung happy birthday. I highly recommend

This was a gift from a friend for our 40th wedding anniversary. A lovely meal in great surroundings. Some limited choices on the menu but when the food arrived after a fair wait, which is warned about on the menu, it was worth waiting for. The prices are moderately high but as it was a gift this was not an issue. A lovely treat.

Lovely meal - slight delay with food arriving but it was fine as the chef wasn't happy with the first chicken dish and was definitely worth the wait. Dog biscuits provided for our 4 legged friends which was a lovely touch

Fantastic food as always. I had confit duck leg which was delicious and my friend had the bream. I’ve never had a bad meal here, always so tasty and looks like a piece of art when it arrives at the table.

Decided in the morning to have lunch there. Booked easily online. The staff as always were very pleased to see us. Hubby ordered the venison and I had the pork belly. Both meals were exceptional. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
