Fabulous experience warm welcome on arrival menus on table ready along with wine & drinks list our guests were a little late 5mins or so food was excellent service excellent too we will surely return.

Food was very good - it would have been good to have more than 1 vegan option to choose from.

Great venue with excellent service from very helpful staff. A good food selection of high quality but edging towards the highest price range for a pub. The Sussex mess desert was rather disappointing lacking any significant and expected merengue - just a great deal of flavoured cream. Drinks prices certainly above average for the area but teas and coffees much more appropriate. As a special occasion fine but not for a casual lunch.

Table booked for 7:30pm, we ordered drinks immediately, on delivery of drinks we ordered mains, neither of us had starters. Mains did not arrive until after 8:30pm. We requested dessert menu, beckoned someone to take our order. Although we do not wish to be hurried through a dinner, we felt the wait for the mains was longer than it should be. Disappointed with choice and portion size of vegetables. Surroundings were lovely.

Food very good, all the staff (and we had 4 different people serving at different times) were smiling, polite and gave us time, but not so much that we were waiting.

Great welcome But obviously short staffed. First drink took a long time. Starter was great. Specials board seemed to good but the two we had were uninspiring. Fish and chips looked great. Staff very pleasant.

Very accommodating, not rushed to settle bill and leave. All had roast dinners on an early Sunday afternoon, consistent for all and empty plates all round, pooch was very happy under bench style table for six people and loved his complementary side of treats. Fantastic afternoon, well done team.
