Brilliant place can’t fault it lovely people and great company
Fantastic food. We both enjoyed “pie night” and a bottle of pino. Great atmosphere even though it wasn’t over busy. It’s the kind of pub you could just sit in all night and natter
We had a sharing plate of nachos which were quite dry and plain. Service was good but food was not the best.
Decorated with antique wooden furniture, The Globe in Leicester's city centre has managed to retain the building's original features and is full of old-fashioned character. The food on offer here is traditional too, with a menu full of delicious British classics, all made using the freshest locally-sourced produce. Pair your pint with the pub ploughmans sharing board (blue cheese, mature cheddar, brie, apple, celery, red onion chutney, root vegetable crisps, pork pie and crusty bread) or feast on a hearty main course dish.
Choices include the steak, ale and mushroom pie, honey-glazed gammon steak and egg, and beer-battered fish and chips, and vegetarians will not feel left out either with options like The Globe vegetable pie and a fig and apricot tagine on the menu. Leicester’s The Globe is the perfect environment to tuck into a traditional roast, so get yourself down to Silver Street in the city centre on a Sunday for the special Sunday menu.
