The Golden Cross

This is our go to pub for a great value for money supper, sereved by lovely people. We highly recommend the pies. £22 gets you two mains Tuesday to Thursday and Friday lunch. Sunday roasties are on another level!

Service was a little slow but they were busy. Overall a great lunch. We will be going again

Great food staff was excellent and the Yorkshire pudding was fantastic, I had the lemon tart as was told that was recommended and I was not disappointed will be back

Pleasant staff - but very disorganised. Waited well over an hour for main course which was average. Tough meat and undercooked vegetables.

Very slow service, main course poor, desert was very unpleasant

Understaffed! The owner needs to look at their staffing. Two lads working flat out in a busy pub serving drinks and meals with the help of a young trainee - not ideal Gave up waiting for dessert! Adequate pub grub

Well after being welcomed.and shown to our table.we ordered drinks.then after 10min We ordered starter delicious prawns. The main was amazing fagotts.we didn't have room for a desert. Incidentally we thought the price was very reasonable. We will certainly be going again next week.

Hadn't been to the Golden Cross since lockdown. Booked a lunch meal on line easily. Turned up and it was as lovely as ever. Good atmosphere, good service and good food and wine, plus good beers. We will be back for more visits.
