Indian restaurants may be ubiquitous across the UK but The Great Moghul has been the darling of Eastleigh locals since 1990. A short walk from the railway station past a row of shops on Leigh Road takes you to this restaurant which keeps its locals coming back with its repertoire of extraordinary tandoori dishes. Swing by on an evening any day of the week and treat yourself to the house special comprising chicken tikka with minced meat, or opt for a batak dish if you feel like having duck meat for a change. Excellent service , very attentive staff who were friendly and helpful. Food was great and came quickly. A good time was had by all. Thank you.
Visited on a very busy Saturday evening, but this in no way meant the service was slow. Very attentive staff, great choice of menu and the food was of an excellent standard. Would highly recommend
Excellent service , lovely food would highly recommend. A warm welcome and attentive without being intrusive service combined with a high quality meal that’s very good value for money. Worth a visit
Delicious food, fantastic choice of dishes on the menu, friendly and fast service. Great value using our Tastecard too. Very happy and we will visit again.
Friendly, attentive staff as always. We have always chosen The Great Moghul for the food, on this occasion it seemed like the chef was different as the meals were all a bit bland and my wife had to add a significant amount of salt to her Dhansak which is something she’s not had to do before. But it was OK, just not the same as previously.
We all had a great time at The Great Moghul. Our pre booked table was ready as requested. And the food was very tasty and enjoyed by everyone of our party attending.
The dining experience was great and the were staff very attentive to our requirements, with out being overbearing. The food, as always, was exceptional. We were dining at the restaurant with business associates from out of town and were quite confident that they would enjoy the experience, we were not disappointed.
Good food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We all had the buffet, which was fresh and plentiful. There was plenty of choice as well, and everyone was really happy with what was on offer. It was an early Sunday evening, so not too busy but perfect for a family get-together.
As always the Sunday Buffet was excellent. Very pleased with the service and the alert and helpful staff. It is nice to be able to get a decent bottle of wine for less than £15.
