Fantastic experience. Taster plates were all exceptional both in quality of the food as well as the unusual combination of flavours. Great service and the chef took time to meet the various diners which was a great touch. Highly enjoyable evening with top quality food at very reasonable prices. We will be back.
Our cocktails to start with were superb. The chef was excellent. Our Tuna tartar succulent and well presented. The prawns and lobster were solidly prepared. The sea bass very good with tomato, garlic and other flavours, carefully filleted at the table. The pork belly was cooked to a point where it was still moist with great flavours. Well done Green Room!
When we arrived, we realised there was no waiter. The head of kitchen had to do the waitering for some reason. The food was good, but a bit too pricy for what it was. The room was very cold. And when it came to paying, there were some technical issues and it took a while to be able to pay and leave.
I'm afraid I cannot rate this restaurant very much at all. The service was dreadful, mixed up orders where one of our party had no main course at all. The food was unimpressive. I won't be returning.
We had a lovely evening with the Live music adding another dimension. The food was good and the staff charming, dealing with a minor food issue quickly and fully. We'd definitely go again.
Good bar to have a drink in first and then high quality food and service
Really great food selection and preparation. Live music was fun and cocktails are delicious. One mistake with our food order but it was quickly fixed with the offering of free desserts for our table. good place for a date or night with friends.
I had a very good experience, it was easy to book
Food was very average across the three sets of entrees and mains we ordered. Service was ok, but for the price range I would have expected better. When it was mentioned that the fish wasn't cooked so well, no apology was offered. Sadly we wanted this new local option to work but both food and service were well below standard.
I was very sad to see that Entree had closed, as the food there was always good. We decided to give the Green Room a try. First impressions are good as the upstairs space is nice and the waitresses were friendly. Unfortunately the menu is where it all starts to go wrong. Very strange choices reminiscent of a bad 70s establishment. Monkfish with fried banana? Pork with orange sauce? They are no better in reality than on paper. The whole thing is gimmicky and naff. Please Green Room have another look at your menu (and at the overpriced, overly short wine list for that matter). Another thing - produce a cocktail menu. We heard so many people asking for it and it's so annoying and pretentious to be told that the barman will come up with a creation for you.
