The Greenwich Tavern of London is about as charming a British pub and restaurant as you could wish to find. On King William Walk, just on the edge of Greenwich Park and a short stroll from Greenwich train station, The Greenwich Tavern is open for lunch as well as dinner (and brunch on the weekends) and serves first-class food that looks as beautiful as it tastes. From the menu you can expect classic British pub dishes like fish and chips, pie of the day and a roast on Sunday, but there are also slightly more contemporary dishes available, too. If you’re not that hungry, The Greenwich Tavern is perfect just for drinks, but either way you’d be very wise to book a table before you go. This place is popular!
We had good food and took our own birthday cake with no problem - staff are friendly and discreet - we will definitely go back there.
Food was good and well presented good selection of beers and warm surrounding made it a nice evening . The location near the Greenwich park gates was nice
