Pub was unaware of booking. Food took an hour to arrive. Small portions of vegetables

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch, cooked to perfection, and served by professional, attentive staff. What a superb venue and team! We are already planning a return visit.

It was a Thursday night, so the restaurant was quiet, but the food was very good. I especially enjoyed the Sea Bass. Service was efficient too.

Although the Half Moon was particularly busy, we were taken to our table, our drinks order was taken and produced almost immediately. As it was a family birthday, we were quite happy to order our meals and have a chat before they arrived about twenty minutes later. It was approximately the same time to wait for our desserts which again was about the right time. Food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating, so we will certainly return.

For a mid week lunch your not sure what to expect. Only my second visit here, last time I had the chilli 🌶, there was plenty of meat and just the right amount of heat. This time I chose scampi and chips, the chips were excellent and the scampi crisp and delicious. The coffee was a good rich flavour and nice and strong, not alwas what you get when you order decaf. Than you for a lovely lunch.

There was a Great atmosphere food was filling, fast and cheap Drinks were made well and cheap 10/10 Great venue for events Would come back again soon

A lovely meal, good quality food. Service excellent especially with a function in the main room. This will now be one of our regular restaurants.

Sadly had to cancel due to illness,will try again at a later date when we are all well .Sorry I can't give a review on the Half Moon.

A group of us from work visited today, we had booked to sit inside but ended up sitting outside as it was such a beaufiful day. Lovely food, fabulous garden, a great place to spend a sunny lunchtime

Friendly and helpful service. Food ok. good value and we'll situated for access. Booking system worked well. Would use again, but not adventurous choice. Maybe we are not quite the target clientele.

Wow amazing food and lovely cold drinks on a very hot day (25 degrees) All staff were smartly dressed, friendly and approachable. Would highly recommend!!!

My wife and I have eaten Sunday roasts in many, many restaurants over the years and the meal we had today at the Half Moon rates as the best! That's quite a statement, I know, but we could not fault the quality of the food and the service was first class: pleasant and polite serving staff and delicious, beautifully presented food. It was our first visit, but definitely not our last.

As usual we were not let down at the half moon. The staff and good is really fresh and tasty. It is a lovely place to lunch.

We had a really nice Sunday Roast nicely presented . The White Chocolate Cheesecake is the best. Lovely surrounding friendly helpful staff. Will definitely be back again soon.

Can't fault this place, from the staff to the food everything is good. We travelled from Somerset on mother's day for lunch. That's how much we love this place. Would Highley recommend. Food is delicious.

A lovely meal. Friendly helpful staff who coped well on a busy day. If you are serving runny cream on your desserts serve them in a bowl rather then on a plate - the cream was spilled on at least 2 occasions. one being on my husbands trousers as the waitress was serving.

Very good and cheerful service. Good food and a nice atmosphere. A really good, traditional Sunday lunch as you would want one. Highly recommended. Try it for yourself.

Good service, food ok, I'm pretty sure the roast potatoes were frozen ones which is why I can only give it average. Good price for 2 courses.

The first course was delicious but the main course(roast beef) was raw. I asked for it to be cooked more but it came back still raw. I couldn't eat it.

This was the first time we have booked online for this particular venue although we have dined there on very many occasions over the last seven years. The food is always lovely, the service is always impeccable and the prices competitive. The landlord is also the chef. We always look forward to the next time we have a meal there.

Well looked after by friendly staff. Good food and ambience but a wider choice on menu would have been good. Pub was clean and well presented.

Table and food were good. Service generally excellent but we did have to give a quick reminder for our dessert after we had ordered. Slight delay but generally 5/6.

For some reason not as good as usual. The food was ok but not fantastic which was unusual and the service was slow We will go again of course so it must have been a bad day.

Service a bit slow after initial enthusiasm. Pork a bit tasteless, but then pork is flavourless these days. At least it wasn't smothered in pepper which is a fault of modern catering. Caramel sauce on lemon meringue is a definite no-no!

The food was really good and the kids were very happy with their food too but the pub lacks atmosphere and needs an interior makeover

Oozes with excellent customer service, meal was good and the venue was clean, fresh and bright. All in all first class experience. Even with the rain and hail outside it did not spoil our get together.

Excellent service meal was good value and well cooked. We will certainly be returning again during a weekday to sample the full menu on offer.

Nice home cooked style food reasonably priced but no atmosphere as 3/4s empty! Not sure why that was Ina Friday night. Staff also a bit preoccupied with private party in the next room so hard to get their eye. Overall not bad.

Perfect place for a family birthday meal. Good food and friendly and good service would recommend it to anyone. Will definitely be going back again
