Great service, staff so friendly and helpful. Food didn't taste of much at all and a bit bland, really big potion sizes though, possibly too much food. My breakfast had a long hair in it too!
Lovely food, drink and great staff Definitely worth a visit and very dog friendly pub
Fantastic food and great service. Host was very accommodating. Fab.
Always pop in to this lovely pub for a meal when we are up in the Lakes. Great food, superb beer and friendly staff in comfy and cosey surroundings, excellent! Many thanks!
Had an excellent night, food was very good, friendly staff, very dog friendly and great selection of gins
Sunday lunch was very good and the quantities were fine
Really nice Friendly staff very welcoming and dogs are allowed in too
Great service and food was very good. However the opportunity for smaller portions would be welcome
A great evening at the Horse and Farrier with friendly efficient service and excellent quality food.
The last time we visited the Lakes my wife and I went to the Horse and Farrier, we enjoyed it so much we decided to return on this visit with my son, daughter in. law and my grandson, we were not disappointed, we were made to feel welcome the atmosphere was warm and friendly and the food was excellent
Lovely dog friendly pub with great food and helpful staff, will return
Easy to book. Staff friendly. Food excellent. Location, parking great.
Excellent food and service. We have visited a few times before whilst on holiday in the Lakes, great to be back. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.
An enjoyable family lunch. Good food and friendly service. Dotty (the dog) enjoyed herself as well.
Great staff and food! Service with a smile! Loved it
The restaurant was busy and booked up. Once seated drink order taken, 30 minutes later just after our food order was taken the drinks arrived. Looking forward to Fish & Chips and told when requesting not on the menu, went for a Lamb Balti as a rather quick decision to change and may as well as asked for gristle curry! Desert I couldn’t fault.
Lovely meal - would like to see some new menu options or specials
Sunday dinner - veg was especially delicious, only downside is cost of sides and starters - seem pretty expensive! (£4.25 for a small bowl of chips seems excessive)
Lovely meal with friends who also really enjoyed it! The menu could do with some new additions though.
Lovely meal, really enjoyed it! Defo worth a visit x
Another excellent Sunday lunch with the family at The Horse and Farrier. Lovely food, excellent ale, and great service.
Great pub . . . . . . . .
Great Sunday lunch with family. Staff were great and made us feel very welcome especially our Springer Molly
Fantastic Sunday lunch and service highly recommend- thank you all
Lovely food and atmosphere. A little hectic and staff appeared frazzled at times. I am sure they had been busy, and perhaps were to be busy again. At the time we attended a few empty tables. Lovely roast dinners. We have stayed at Horse and Farrier years ago, but stopped as it needed an upgrade. Happy to see that it has been upgraded now, so will look to book next time.
Absolutely delicious food. Staff courteous and friendly. A good experience
Excellent food in a relaxing pub serving a good range of beer’s
The pub was extremely busy, but everything in the great!!
Great choice on the Sunday evening menu (roast dinners) - super variety of meat and veg and fab value for money - couldn’t fault it.
Great friendly service, food was lovely. Good value for money. Would definitely return.
a great romantic place, delicious food, the cook knows what he is doing, nice service
A really nice restaurant with staff who care about the service they are giving
Brilliant cosy place, great food, wine and friendly service. Will return
Lovely venue, food was delicious and really good quality. Children’s dessert proved very expensive! £4.95 for an ice cream seems a lot of money. A suggestion would be to include one scoop of ice cream within the children’s menu as £6.95 is more than enough to pay for. The waiter that served us had poor customer service skills. Not once did he say thanks, or sorry when something wasn’t available. Not even an enjoy your food! Just put everything on the table and went. We didn’t receive a thank you either when paying the £80 bill. We saw other staff serving in the venue and they seemed very pleasant and warm.
Lovely Sunday dinner and glad to see the children’s options of Sunday dinner available as well
Our favourite day of the week to go to the pub for the best Sunday dinner around
Lovely food, helpful and friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Warm atmosphere
Pub with rooms. Staying overnight. Dinner was definitely above average for pub grub. Service friendly and attentive.
Went for birthday lunch with my sister. Really like this place for food bit unfortunately today roast potatoes were so pale they looked like boiled potatoes and were hard. After seeing plates been brought out with mashed carrot and turnip I realised they had forgotten to put it on our plates. Hardly any gravy and nit hot meal at all. Bit disappointing really.
Despite only living in Keswick first visit for a number of years. Excellent Sunday lunch as can be seen from the scores. Good wine list. Will be back before long.
Lovely meal and food was hot and delicious - please offer some more menu options for kids
Lovely Sunday dinner - best Sunday dinner I’ve had eating out - defo going to make a regular
Great food will defo be back again for another visit
Lady who served us was a credit to the pub…very personable and went the extra mile to make my nephews birthday special.
Booked in for lunch with friends. All food very fresh and lovely. Staff polite and friendly. Chips could just do with a bit longer in the fryer to crisp them up a bit but that's the only negative. Would recommend.
Ok Sunday lunch but a bit pricey - wine so so
This was our first visit to a pub since March 2020 and I have to say it was worth the wait! I had the vegetarian roast followed by chocolate brownie. The roast dinner was delicious. Creamy mashed potatoes, crisp roasties, plenty of fresh veg and a huge homemade Yorkshire pudding. Delicious! The brownie was really nice too, and a very generous portion. The staff were friendly and attentive. And it was good to see how carefully they cleaned each table between customers. Can’t wait to go back tomorrow!
Great staff, made very welcome, good service, great quality. Thanks
Very nice food indeed. Attentive staff. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended
Great adaptations made for COVID , staff pleasant, food fab
