Everything was lovely from food to staff, lovely homemade food, only one thing was cold in there asked for radiators to be put on but didn’t come on until 10 minutes before we left, but it didn’t ruin our night

Met two friends, who had not been before - they enjoyed it, and we all had a pleasant evening.

Not a good experience. Not all choices were available and meals were not memorable and beer was flat.

Made very welcome from arrival and to the table. Considering few meals weren’t available as sold out, plenty of choice still.

A Good Menu .Sensible Prices .All Freshly Cooked Excellent Meals.

Great service and lovely food would definitely recommend to anyone and return form another visit.

A very welcoming pub. We sat in the bar and it was a lovely spot with the Christmas tree and only us there! Friendly staff and tasty food. Excellent chips!

Both the starter and main I ordered weren't available, despite being on the menu. It took almost an hour for our starters to come out and another half an hour for the mains. Had the place been full, I could have understood but there was only three tables occupied! Food was average at best. Shame but we won't be returning :(

Went Saturday night with my husband brother in law a and his wife as always good and service was good.Amy was our main server she and other staff where great will definitely be visiting again.

We enoyed our visit to the Horse and Jockey food and service good. We particually liked that there was no music playing. So a nice evening was had by all.

Good service Good quality food with nice presentation. A little disappointed that the vegan/vegetarian menu was not extensive as advertised only 4 options. But we all cleared out plates & left with full bellies

We had stopped going to the horse and jockey because of the long wait times from ordering food to its arrival but decided after many months to give it another try, sadly no improvement. Well cooked food served by disinterested poorly trained staff.

With boards out side stating fresh fish daily you expect a little variety of fish not just one disappointing really.

Beautiful meal... service was spot on... highly recommend The Horse and Jockey.. would like to just mention the seating.. the chairs are so uncomfortable.. would have stayed for another drink but chosen to go due to this reason.

Have been a few times but very disappointed with today’s meal. We all ordered different meals but the peas and chips came as a sharing plate. There were definitely not a portion of chips each and when we requested more we were told that we would be charged. The fact that they were undercooked I’m now glad we didn’t get more. A very weird arrangement and a very underwhelming meal overall. Would not recommend or revisit.

Busy but pleasant atmosphere. Staff very organised. Had a good experience overall. Food maybe slightly pricey for the quality but plenty of it and a good selection to choose from.

Good service. Excellent Apple crumble but steak and kidney pie lacked flavour. Hard poor quality peas and chips.

Service and food excellent but pubs needs a bit of an uplift. Sat at table by the door and there was a draught every time the door opened .
