Beautiful meal... service was spot on... highly recommend The Horse and Jockey.. would like to just mention the seating.. the chairs are so uncomfortable.. would have stayed for another drink but chosen to go due to this reason.

Have been a few times but very disappointed with today’s meal. We all ordered different meals but the peas and chips came as a sharing plate. There were definitely not a portion of chips each and when we requested more we were told that we would be charged. The fact that they were undercooked I’m now glad we didn’t get more. A very weird arrangement and a very underwhelming meal overall. Would not recommend or revisit.

Busy but pleasant atmosphere. Staff very organised. Had a good experience overall. Food maybe slightly pricey for the quality but plenty of it and a good selection to choose from.

Good service. Excellent Apple crumble but steak and kidney pie lacked flavour. Hard poor quality peas and chips.

Service and food excellent but pubs needs a bit of an uplift. Sat at table by the door and there was a draught every time the door opened .

What a wonderful experience,on arrival we were made to fell very welcome by the staff Offered a choice of tables not made to feel rushed in selecting our food and what a good selection of food they have on the menu at the Horse and jockey After making our selection and placing the order the food arrived very quickly nicely presented on the plates with a good selection of seasonal vegetables served separately the food was delicious A big thank you to all the staff at the Horse and jockey for make my mum and I feel so welcome hope to see you all again

Food and service are always excellent. If you haven’t tried their homemade pies then you’re missing a fantastic treat. In my opinion they’re the very best around.

Lovely setting, food was delicious. A good traditional pub with excellent menu and service. Would highly recommend, we'll be coming back again very soon with guests.

Decided to eat out late Sunday afternoon. The buffet style lunch ends at 17:00 so the rush of people reduces greatly. Main menu items have a good spread of choice, including gluten free, veg, and vegan items. The food was fantastic. Took about 30 mins for the meal to arrive, guessing some of that time was to let the steak come up to room temperature before going into the pan. We will be returning here on a regular basis.

Have used the Horse and Jockey for many years now. Myself and my friends have had many happy lunch times here, and we still continue to meet up following retirement. Also for myself, I have had happy family meals here. The food is always very well cooked and presented.. The staff are always very cheerful and happy to deal with any request. Would recommend to anyone.

Easy to find on the main road. Staff very attentive, food good value for money. I had a burger which was of a good quality and not cooked to frazzel. The creme brulee was lovely and crisp on top. It was a Tuesday night so not too busy, in all a pleasant experience.

Great selection of food as usualon the menu. All cooked to order and a great specials board. Visited last night and as always great service too.
