Good food at a fair price if a somewhat limited menu. Very handy for the theatre and local cinema.
Food was lovely as usual, and the service was friendly and helpful. But were visiting the Theatre and the service could have been quicker. Would still visit again!
An excellent little find! Ours was a pre theatre dinner. Traffic so bad we were half an hour late arriving (we did phone ahead to let them know). Greeted by a lovely, welcoming smile from the host who couldn't have helped us more to choose dinner and get to the theatre on time. Superb, tasty Catch of the Day dinner and the best hot chocolate I have tasted in a good while. Super service, great staff. Will most definitely return - especially to try a vegan themed evening.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. A little gem. Love it
The food was excellent. The restaurant was very quiet and we waited over 30 minutes for our food. By this time our drinks were long gone. We were not told the wait would be so long. People who came in 15 minutes after us were served before us. Overall we were disappointed. There was, over a period of time, seven customers. Only one when we arrived.
Had a lovely pre theatre meal - Chicken Burger with Sweet Potato Wedges washed down with Rose wine. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Nice change from the usual pubfare/curries typical of Wolverhampton. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Even got a free cocktail of our choice as it was our wedding anniversary.
Lovely place, friendly staff and great food. Perfect for a pre theatre lunch.
Very welcoming and a great place for the pre- theatre meal. Not a massive choice but what they do is first class with attention to detail. Will book again in an instant.
Have visited on several occasions and the food, service and atmosphere arer always fantastic.
Food was lovely Glad we reserved a table as a lot of people were turned away I do think the ladies toilets require a refit and a very good clean though
Excellent food but limited choices, I would like more choice
Very slow service despite it not being over busy. Tomato soup very spicy, not told in advance. Fish cakes dry. Just a disappointing experience
We got delayed slightly however the chef managed to feed us in time to get to the theatre - lovely atmosphere and delicious well cooked food
Food, cocktails and service fantastic. Will definitely return and recommend
We had specifically requested a wheelchair space for one guest. What we had not anticipated that we could not even get into the restaurant, because there is no wheelchair access. We were confronted by two steep steps and a narrow doorway. I have looked at your website again and there is no warning about lack of wheelchair access. It is a legal requirement for public buildings to have access for people with disabilities but if this is impossible you should make it known to your potential customers. Luckily there were other places close by, because we were not in a position to go very far from where we were. Most disappointing. The lady who opened the door for us was very apologetic and understanding, which helped.
Nice atmosphere perfect location for pre theatre food and food was home cooked and very Tasty!!
Lovely polite waitress- food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Very relaxing atmosphere - and close to the theatre which is where we went after.
Booked on line turned up said they were full didn’t bother the acknowledge the on line booking. The place was majority empty booked for 645pm. Shame big mistake as was treating my friend to a 50th birthday meal so we went to queens Cantonese instead and had 109% service so I highly recommend you go to queens Cantonese as you get far better service
Very good, clean, good service, nice food affordable prices. What's not to like?
Excellent service, food was beautiful and cocktails were amazing! Would highly recommend.
Lovely fresh tasting food. Good service and reasonable price. First visit and will return again.
Good quick service. Nice food. Friendly staff. Will keep going back again and again. My mistake was I don’t like kidney beans and the meal came with them (albeit only a few thankfully).
We love it here, tasty food, cosy atmosphere and right next to the station. :)
Came back again before a comedy night at the Slade Rooms. Had service, great food last time and it didn’t disappoint again
Lovely place to eat and drink, menu was short but enough choice, we opted for fish dishes which were very tasty. Cheesecake was a dream, good enough you wanted to lick the plate!! Staff excellent, would recommend.
A wonderful place to eat with great service and an artsy atmosphere.
Not a huge menu selection, nonetheless nice/ good food, friendly service, what’s not to like...
Well presented and tasty fresh food definitely be returning excellent.
A few times I have been now and each one gets better 😁
Great service, ambiant music that was at a good level so you could still have a conversation. Beautiful food, presented well and served. Didn’t wait very long for our food to arrive.
All meals were really fresh and tasty. Great service, overall an excellent experience.
Everything about our visit was excellent- staff were all friendly, professional and lovely to see them smiling. Ambience was good as was the service. Plenty of choice on the menu and the food lovely- what more can one ask. An extra bonus was a charming young man who knows how to make a perfect G and T!!!
Lovely setting. Helpful and friendly staff. The food was really, really good too. Well presented and tasted amazing! Thank you for a lovely night.
Food was amazing! The Hungry Bistro is a lovely place
Very helpful and friendly staff. Main course portions were okay but more than made up for with the amazing “dark & stormy” cheesecake, we wanted to lick our plates it was that good. Only negative comment would be the toilets where only one was working and watched one lady struggle in and out of the only working cubicle which was partly obscured by a wall. That aside would definitely recommend on food and service.
Very accommodating and food was exceptionally cooked. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will be visiting again.
WE had to wait for our fellow diner and they were very understanding and attentive.
Quick lunch time service, was a nice light room. Big portions - maybe a bit too over-facing for a lunch time sandwich. But so tasty and with a nice salad.
Portion sizes very small, much smaller than previous visits. Mackerel pate almost ran off the plate. Spanish hotpot extremely disappointing, runny sauce like water. No accompanying vegetables offered. When we got the bill we had, once again, been overcharged as we were on a previous visit. Fixed price menu so should be easy enough to calculate!! Won’t be returning unfortunately 😞
