I have eaten here a few time and the food is always so delicious and plentiful and the staff are allways very courteous and helpful!
As always, very tasty food, friendly and helpful service from the staff. My colleagues and I come here every couple of weeks and we are never disappointed.
A convenient hidden gem. Low lighting gives a cosy ambience and the service is attentive. A bit pricey, but jolly nice food - careful when ordering side dishes.
Great food and great staff as always, dum gost one of the best dishes I've ever had at an indian restaurant, we will be going back!
Good location with a Great variety of dishes. Staff are very helpful and willing to make changes to menu to cater for individual dietary requirements.
Good food, but standoffish service. I enjoyed what I ate. Would go back, if I'm in the area. Don't really need a reservation for dinner.
We had a lovely lunch which was very good value for money. The staff were all very attentive and the service was quick. I would definitely recommend as a great place to have lunch.
Went with a group of 6 after work and we were quickly seated, very well attended to and most of all the food was great. We'll Be back!!
Fantastic restaurant, both the quality of food and service. The decor is unique for London but very reminiscent of Eastern Europe. And the 25% off special was an added bonus.
Fantastic food! The service was good apart from one waiter refused to do a mixed shaslick, which should have straight forward given they have lamb and chicken on the menu? Apart from that all good.
One of the best traditional Anglo-Indian restaurants in London. Well worth a visit for lunch or dinner Very atmospheric in a converted wine cellar and great service too.
As always a great night out with great food. The garlic lamb was amazing and the others in our group also enjoyed their meals. Mixed Tandoori starter is a must.
Booking worked really well Very easy to use the system Restuarant responded quickly , calling me to confirm and meal was great on the night
Been going there with the same bunch of mates for the last 3 or 4 years. Always good service and always consistently good food. The fact that we keep going back speaks volumes.
Great service and excellent selection for vegetarians, lovely evening, very cosy feel, but didn't feel too crowded still. would recommend and return again for sure
Having been here many times before we knew the quality of food would be of a very high standard as usual. It is more expensive than standard curry houses but well worth the money. Atmosphere is always good as well.
Very nice food and had the express lunch time option which was just right! Have eaten here a few times now and will be back for sure
The food is excellent but there is not enough light at the tables. We had to use Iphone torches to read the menus which was difficult as there were four of us and only two phones.
Lovely place with good ambience. Service could have been a little more friendly and attentive: for example, the wine wasn't poured when glasses were empty.
Staff were rude, service was not good. Kicked us off the table straight after we paid, some people still had drinks. Didn't take the deposit, £100, off the bill. When asked about the deposit the waiter looked like I just kicked his dog. Also the people managing the reservations didn't have a clue. Food was nice though.
Always great food and service - it's consistent and a regular place for me to visit. Staff are always friendly and professional. Good value for money😀
Food always excellent with good atmosphere. The Goan lamb was tender and the chicken served in an open splayed pepper with thick spicy source was spot on. Will go again.
Lovely food and very welcoming and attentive to our party! Would highly recommend going for a quiet night in a cosy place with great food!
Great food and atmosphere as always. Service is faultless although there was a mix up with the final bill which was rectified immediately and with a smile.
Great service. The food was excellent and the set menus that a few of my colleagues had were fantastic and good value for money. I opted for safe but delicious hot Madras. It didn't disappoint.
very nice mixed starters. My friend said his lamb shank was a bit chewy, but tasted good. My coconut chicken curry was a bit dry, but I managed to eat most of it before feeling full up. Good sized portions. The space was nicely laid out. Attentive service, but didn't seem very happy. Overall food was good, better than an average indian restaurant.
Dear Sirs, As a frequent customer to the restaurant I am writing to you with regret as I wish to complain about the lunch we experienced today. I had booked a table for 3 persons via your website for 12.15pm in aid of a team Christmas lunch. On arrival we were seated and served our drinks etc with the usual great service. However things changed when a particularly rude waiter wanted me to order food as soon as possible. I replied telling him that I will look at the menu in a moment and he rudely responded with a comment that the table was required back at 2pm and that he is telling me to order now. I was completely taken back by this rudeness and lack of customer service by your staff. In my booking confirmation email (attached) there was no mention of a turnaround time on the table and nor did I receive any communication from the restaurant to this regard in any shape or form. I totally appreciate that at busy times like now there are limits on tables but this was never communicated and if this was the case then you should have told us in advance not once we had been seated. Further we felt we were rushed throughout the lunch and it was far from our usual relaxed lunch in your restaurant. To cap it off our table was cleared after our mains and without requesting one the bill was placed on the table – no thoughts to see if we wished any coffee or desert. The time this occurred was 1.20pm so there was still plenty of time for us to have had something. We simply paid and then went elsewhere for our deserts and coffees – I simply cannot believe how we were treated today and I believe it requires to be brought to your attention. Kind regards
Very tasty food, well prepared and spiced just right. Not too oily, as can often be the case. Nice reception, pleasant cavernous feel to the restaurant. Would recommend.
Good value tasty food.service quite quick and with a smile. Nice looking lunch offer. Unusual fish curry too, which went well with a glass of wine
Good spot for lunch- express lunch menu was quick and not too heavy to induce an afternoon coma. Seemed good quality. £35 for two at lunch.
Ordered fr4om a la carte at lunchtime, food was good but rather slow to arrive. Probably better to have one of the set lunch menus
Fantastic service, great food and atmosphere in a really special setting. The India is in the heart of the City and is well worth a visit if you are in tyhe area.
I love this Indian restaurant - very consistant in terms of food and service. Lovely friendly staff. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who want to eat good Indian food in a nice friendly atmosphere.
Great find on a Friday! Delicious food but did feel like we were in a corridor with people going in & out all the time?
ThIs is the second time at this place and food and service were excellent on both occasions. Having travelled to India this year, I can say the food here is really authentic.
Food was delicious and served promptly, the staff were also very friendly and helpful. Great place to go for a large party of people, thanks.
Refused to honour taste card offer after they had already taken my order. Food was average. Service was sub standard. Not at all impressed. Avoid.
Tasty food, although I asked for a dish to be recommended with a my main criteria of being spicy, it was mild at best. If I was being really picky I'd have to say the service could be improved.
A good venue, very nice meal and pleasant staff. Was for a 40th birthday celebration and a good time was has by all. Thank you.
great food as always, great service as always. I love the fact they remember loyal customers and have a natural friendliness with being over bearing.
Great quality of food, nice and neat place within walking distance of the tube station. The only letdown was the blatant unfriendliness towards customers of almost all waiters.. Good price/quality ratio.
Excellent food, lovely setting, helpful waiters. I took 5 colleagues there for dinner and all were woves by the restaurant. Will definitely go there again.
Excellent food and great service. The set menus especially are good value for money. The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home.
Central city location, very easy from work for lunch. Welcoming and friendly staff, decent size and straightforward menu. Food was very good. Clean restaurant facilities.
Great food, good service in a great setting. The mixed platter starter was excellent, especially the king prawns. Lamb Shank main was also really good.
Had a great night and the food is amazing. Well worth the money even if it is a little bit more expensive than others around town.
I have been visiting this restaurant on and off for 15 years and it never fails to deliver good food. One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Would always recommend it.
Express lunch as good as ever. Staff very efficient and attentive. Only real gripe was the charge of over £4 for a bottle of mineral water which was more than the cost of the two starters we had.
I always have such lovely service here and they are able to cater for most intolerances. Food was great and reasonable priced. Would come again!
The India is a friendly place, not the cheapest in the City but that's because the food is better. It easily outclasses the more famous establishments round Liverpool Street. Thoroughly recommended.
