We had a great table on the second floor. Service was great and the food even better. Got everything promptly. Wonderful view and had a breeze through the door. Just lovely.

The pork belly was well done and totally dry. It did not pair well with a Caesar salad.

Restaurant cancelled table 1 hour before.seating as oven broken. Everywhere else fully booked. Disappointing.

Food was good, however very overpriced. To not have the option to order only 1 course was new to me and not something I would imagine I'll see too often in the future. Toilets need attention and could be fresher - considering the restaurant was only just open I was surprised at only 1 of three cubicles being in usable condition. Overall I'd say premium prices for an average experience. The feeling is the restaurant is catering to passing trade and not returning custom.

First visit for us after moving from Glasgow and so impressed by the friendly staff, really fantastic meal and lovely views of the river. I’m so pleased we’ve found this restaurant we will be regulars from now on and bring family and fry with us.

Superb place for a meal with great views of the river

Good food and the waiter was nice but we got the starter minutes after being server our cocktails. Then the main course came in immediately after they cleared the starter plates. After being asked if we wanted any dessert we said we wanted to finish the wine before order the coffee and we got the bill on the table instead without asking for it. It’s not a cheap restaurant so we really wanted to sit down and enjoy the food without the stress

The website says the menu shown is a sample menu. When you get there, it turns out that it is the only menu, and there's not much on it. The one starter I wanted was unavailable. We didn't stay to eat.

Food amazing, staff first class service A little disappointed ,and expensive for a set menu

Staff were very friendly and attentive, they were great and offered us recommendations for cocktails when we couldn't decide - their recommendations were spot on and the cocktails we had were lovely. We did find the portion sizes were a bit too small - for example, when the venison came, it was just two small bits of venison and 3 wee potatoes so we did leave a bit hungry still. However, that said, all the food we had was delicious.

Food was just ok. For the money charged we felt it was overpriced. Service was a bit rushed. Felt like we were on a time frame. The young waiter was pleasant.

Seated us on bottom floor near busy kitchen door and restroom. Beet and goat cheese starter was excellent. COD was so salty that it was not edible.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Ein bisschen "frech", nur 2- bzw 3-Gang-Menüs anzubieten; keine Einzelgerichte. Daher eher erforderlich teuer, als entspannend lecker. Das Interieur könnte trotz schönem industriellem Ambiente um einiges gepflegter sein. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, wenn man nur die Staubschichten auf dem Sicht-Bauteilen und die teilweise abgesessenen Sitzmöbel betrachtet. Nichts für gehbehinderte Menschen! Restaurant über 3 Etagen und Treppen.

Beautifully presented food, great provenance and delicious, excellent service and super view over the river from our table. Our second visit to The Kitchen and look forward to returning again when in Inverness.
