The Kitchen Restaurant

The staff were all kind and conversational and the food was absolutely delicious. Such attention to detail in every ingredient. They had an excellent choice of cider on the menu, as well.

Good food, tasty and well presented. Restaurant itself lacks a little atmosphere. We were upstairs , lighting was bright spot lights which if dimmed would have been nicer. Would have preferred not to be quite so close to other diners/tables. Staff all very helpful and polite.

Great food, friendly service, good value. The view is amazing. The wine I ordered was good but the list was limited and there were no dessert wines or digestifs available which is a shame. Overall, it's one of the best restaurants in Inverness.

Lovely staff who accommodated us on ground floor much appreciated tge standard of food was excellent although if your going to serve rum sponge it helps to have some rum in it just a thought

We had a 2 course lunch. The food was well cooked and the presentation was good. All the staff were lovely. Good welcome and very attentive. Can't wait to go back 🙂

Meals were not hot and the portion size was small even after a 3 course meal we all still felt hungry

Staff were great. Venue was great.. Dinner was good. I wouldn't say exceptional. Portion was small and yeah, it was good but I wouldn't go further. So I'm summary, the food quality was lacking compared to other restaurants I've been to which are similar price. The meal I had was turkey roulade and it was lacking a sauce, not enough veg and everything felt like more was put into how the plate looked than if the individual components were excellent.

Having recently moved back to the Highlands it's the first time I've eaten at The Kitchen for a long time. I'll be back in flash! Attentive, chatty, welcoming staff who were on hand as and when we needed them. The food was outstanding. My pud was so delicious I savoured it for at least an extra 10 minutes and when I mentioned to the waitress that I'd give the passion fruit cheesecake and coconut ice-cream more than 100 thumbs up, she told me one of their 17 year old wait staff was gaining experience in the actual kitchen and it was one of the first ones he'd done - young man - I LOVED IT! Well done. See you all soon (or maybe when you've got your own 5* Michelin restaurant 😁💞). Sophia xx

The food is imaginative, well cooked and well presented. The staff were charming. The atmosphere is very pleasant but the acoustics are challenging. Noise builds up very quickly in such small spaces. On the plus side the views are great and especially magical at this time of year with the Christmas lights.

We were told that we were being moved to a table on top floor, as this was better than the table the team had reserved for us. The table was sitting just inside the upper dining area, facing the staircase. Cant help wonder why this was a ‘better’ table as it was fairly poorly positioned. I had to ask for salt as the cellar on the table had none left. My chair was in a poor state with the faux leather peeling off the seat. Overall, the Kitchen seems to have deteriorated since my last visit there. Shame, but I would probably not return

Not been here for ages but won't leave it so long next time. Food and service great.

Starters were lovely. Hot and fresh. However, the same couldn't be said for the mains. They arrived luke warm. Flagged it up to the waitress. She apologised. We ate the mains as we were hungry but very disappointed for a restaurant of that standard. Eaten here and sister restaurant The Mustard Seed many times. Bottle of wine taken off the bill. Manager didn't come and apologise which was disappointing.
