The salad was excellent as it was served without dressing!

We had a lovely meal. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. A very individual pub with a limited menu but good specials each day.

The food was generally overcooked and tasteless. The steak tasted more of the charcoal grill and the steak & ale pie was far too dry, especially with the veg and mash. Would have been better to have a small gravy pot with the pie. The soup and hot deserts came out so hot that you couldn't touch it for several minutes without burning your mouth. Even though I mentioned I was disappointed when ask if everything was OK when paying, I was not offered any discount, just a lame apology. Years ago the Lamb had a great reputation, and we went there thinking it would be a nice treat. For the cost of the meal for just three people (£85), I have eaten far better in cheaper places. Would not go back in a hurry.

Excellent cask ale choice, all food tried was excellent especially fish specials and puds. Ran out of fish of the day mains, and with a small menu that is unfortunate

I have been to the Lamb for years. The food was very good, at a reasonable price, polite staff and good service, I would have rated higher if it was not so cold, We had to keep our coats on. Rads were barely warm and heat from wood burner feeble. Rads in toilets turned off. Shame it spoilt our meal.

Went here for a roast, was lovely- although the roast potatoes tasted like they had been frozen. I would go back though, as overall it was good value

We really enjoyed the meal here. The Lamb Burger was really tasty, Steak was nicely cooked & the kids meal was a nice sized proportion too. Our friends had the vegan pie & the steak pie everyone was happy. The service fine but not amazing. They passed food and drink over my daughters head a couple of times which annoys me, it was pretty slow too, took about an hour for our meals to come out which is a long time for a 4 year old and it wasn’t that busy in there. The waiting staff didn’t really say please or thank when passing plates ect, just little things but they were noticed. I would eat here again!

Food was poor and tasteless. They did at least discount the two very tough beef dishes we left unfinished. Give it a miss. Not good.

Lovely old country pub, good food and welcoming staff. Roaring fires made a cosy feel and the food was freshly prepared. Would definitely return the next time we are in the area and would love this as my local.

Enjoyed a fabulous Christmas meal. Good choice on menu. My husband and I had venison casserole and our friends had the halibut. Both excellent. Starters and dessert also really tasty. Couldn’t fault the meal and very good value.

We were a party of five. The majority of us enjoyed our meal, but one of our party did not. If you enjoy burger and chips type meals then this is a good choice. Quite a few options on the menu. Limited GF and vegetarian options. Service was friendly and good.

Excellent food, amazingly helpful in accomodating our gluten free needs. We were late due to a vehicle breakdown, but no problem either. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Good old fashioned customer service with a smile. Great team, great food. Thank you

A lovely location. Excellent food every time. A wide ranging well thought out menu. The staff are all very welcoming and extremely efficient and pleasant service. I live 30 miles away and I happily drive past hundreds of other restaurants and pubs to come to the Lamb Inn. It’s that good. We took a number of friends this time and they were all highly complimentary in every respect. They did everything that they could to make it a great evening.

Great food, always! We have never had a bad meal at the Lamb. It was very busy and they could have done with extra help behind the bar.

I don't know if we just chose a bad day. The welcome was virtually non existent. It wasn't busy. We had the fixed 3 course lunch menu for £13 - good value. However, the main was served on a very small (dessert) ? plate. Food was ok but we all felt that something was lacking. Sorry.

Lovely meal and pub, with polite and helpful staff. Just one disappointment, the apple and blackberry crumble, too dry. Have eaten at The Lamb multiple times, this is the first complaint I have had. Will be going back though!

Excellent food, although ran out of first choices. The service was good except the waitress took away glasses that still had wine in. Atmosphere good although it emptied out quickly after 10. It was a little cramped and the chairs were uncomfortable overall good.

Excellent food. Great fresh quality and presented with great professionalism. Very quiet on the Thursday evening we went. Pub tired and in need of a upgrade particularly in the toilets. We were recommended for the quality of the food and weren't disappointed. Difficult to get quality pub food these days but The Lamb has a great chef. We will be back.
