Located in the town centre, along Burscough Street, keep your eyes peeled for the sirloin steak, cooked to perfection and smothered in housemade Béarnaise sauce; oven-baked lemon sole served on a bed of parmesan potato gratin and the stuffed peppers brimming with flavoursome and fresh vegetables, smoked cheese and a fried egg, and so much more besides. We had the door opened for us, our table was waiting when we arrived. The place was roomy, warm and well lit. The staff was welcoming. The menu was clear and easily understandable. Our order arrived quickly despite the restaurant being almost full. The food was hot and tasty. We enjoyed our evening.
Very pleasant evening, good value, food nicely presented, friendly staff, good service, would return. The main course of chicken was particularly nice, partner really enjoyed the cod loin.
The ambience was great, but the food was disappointing. They possibly need to revisit their own menu, and purchase steaks from a new supplier before I would re visit.
