Very good food any good selection starters were lovely, a bit pricey and not the biggest proportions, my partner chose fish for the main dish which did not come with any sides , we ordered a sweet which never arrived after 15 mins so decided to cancel it we were given a discount for this which compensated for the wait. Still satisfied and will continue to come.

Overpriced, confused menu, neither one thing nor the other, not great quality produce. Noisy music and bright lights. But staff were friendly and service quick. Go to a proper Thai restaurant or a decent fish and chip shop instead.

Very informal. Great choice of fish on the menu and the Thai twist is a winner. The staff were very attentive too. The haddock chowder was delicious on a cold evening.

We had a truly lovely time at the Lobster pot. Great service and absolutely delicious food - authentic and flavoursome. We booked for 4 and asked for the best table in the house as we were meeting with some special friends and guess what they invited us to sit at the table with the dragon. Excellent value and exceeded all our expectations

Nice atmosphere and prompt service, food was ok - always wanted to go here, now have, wouldn’t revisit, as plenty more restaurants I want to try! Thought it was quite expensive for what we had.

The food at the Lobster pot was excellent. We had beautiful oysters, lovely mussels and some excellent Thai noodles. The service was a little slow and the look of the restaurant doesn't feel very sea-foody which is odd given the name and menu. It feels a little confused but, hey, it tasted great so we didn't mind too much.

Food was okay, and platter for two was quite expensive for the size of the portion. I’ll suggest you order a half lobster than the platter, because the lobster is much bigger than the platter.

Second time I’ve been here and if you’re looking for fresh fish dishes and a restaurant specialising in seafood with other added dishes then this is the place to go. Lovely atmosphere and ambience in the restaurant and food cooked to perfection with a wide variety of choice

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Lobster Pot in Beeston last night to celebrate a special occasion. We all had the lobster shellfish platter which was delicious! The service was excellent - friendly, helpful and attentive, a perfect combination. We can't wait to return and have already eyed up our next dish! Thank you all at the Lobster Pot :)

Excellent meal and great service, the quality of the food was great. The only thing that slightly let it down was the portion size of the sides given the price

Easy to find and plenty of parking in the Sainsbury's car park opposite. Staff were attentive. Starters were prepared quickly and were tasty and hot. The shells on the mussels were quite smelly, but the mussels were tasty. Main meals were lovely, again nice and hot, but as with all fish dishes, went cold quickly. Too stodged for dessert. Reasonably priced, approximately £45 for 2 starters, 2 mains, a cider and a lager, which included a 20% discount offer.

First impression of the restaurant was that it was dated. The tables had an antique look and the hanging plants made it looked like a garden centre. The waitress was not friendly and had little knowledge so it would seem of the food menu. The portion size of the salmon was appalling. The meal was £15.95 for a tiny piece of salmon and a small portion of rice. I had to give my partner some of my plaice dish wish was substantially bigger in order that he didn't go hungry. The starters were no better in terms of size. My partner and i got out of there promptly to get a desert to tide us over. I would not eat at thia restaurant again and would advise others to go further into Nottingham for better restaurants!

Disappointing especially given the prices, though they did give a 20% reduction when we expressed our disappointment in response to their 'how was your meal ?'. Nothing particularly wrong but nothing had a great deal of flavour - chicken wings in a sticky, sweet, pretty tasteless goo, ok chowder but lacking spice, noticeably small salmon portion with non-descript sauce and overcooked (extra) vegetables, potatoes cooked in oil used too many times by the taste of it - baked sea bass better than the rest - overall a shame as the menu promised some fusion of Thai cooking, with good seafood - neither sufficiently in evidence.
