Second time I’ve been here and if you’re looking for fresh fish dishes and a restaurant specialising in seafood with other added dishes then this is the place to go. Lovely atmosphere and ambience in the restaurant and food cooked to perfection with a wide variety of choice

Booked last minute for a celebratory meal out. Have been to lobster pot on Mansfield road a few times but have never made it this restaurant in Beeston. Highly recommended, the food was superb and the service was excellent. Will definitely be making a visit in the future.

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Lobster Pot in Beeston last night to celebrate a special occasion. We all had the lobster shellfish platter which was delicious! The service was excellent - friendly, helpful and attentive, a perfect combination. We can't wait to return and have already eyed up our next dish! Thank you all at the Lobster Pot :)

Excellent meal and great service, the quality of the food was great. The only thing that slightly let it down was the portion size of the sides given the price

Easy to find and plenty of parking in the Sainsbury's car park opposite. Staff were attentive. Starters were prepared quickly and were tasty and hot. The shells on the mussels were quite smelly, but the mussels were tasty. Main meals were lovely, again nice and hot, but as with all fish dishes, went cold quickly. Too stodged for dessert. Reasonably priced, approximately £45 for 2 starters, 2 mains, a cider and a lager, which included a 20% discount offer.

Great food and great service. We had calamari to share and it was cooked to perfection. Mains were swordfish and lobster, both delicious. I love that they have a lot of choice of sauces for the fish selection. Can't wait to return!!!!

First impression of the restaurant was that it was dated. The tables had an antique look and the hanging plants made it looked like a garden centre. The waitress was not friendly and had little knowledge so it would seem of the food menu. The portion size of the salmon was appalling. The meal was £15.95 for a tiny piece of salmon and a small portion of rice. I had to give my partner some of my plaice dish wish was substantially bigger in order that he didn't go hungry. The starters were no better in terms of size. My partner and i got out of there promptly to get a desert to tide us over. I would not eat at thia restaurant again and would advise others to go further into Nottingham for better restaurants!

Disappointing especially given the prices, though they did give a 20% reduction when we expressed our disappointment in response to their 'how was your meal ?'. Nothing particularly wrong but nothing had a great deal of flavour - chicken wings in a sticky, sweet, pretty tasteless goo, ok chowder but lacking spice, noticeably small salmon portion with non-descript sauce and overcooked (extra) vegetables, potatoes cooked in oil used too many times by the taste of it - baked sea bass better than the rest - overall a shame as the menu promised some fusion of Thai cooking, with good seafood - neither sufficiently in evidence.

Restaurant has no atmosphere. When you go out for a lobster dinner you want to enjoy it in a cosy and romantic atmoshere. Feels more like a take away

Food was nice, expected more though! Service was very slow! We had to ask for a drink when we came in, we then waited over an hour for our food! Half came out and we sat waiting for about 5 minutes for our other half to come too! We then had to ask for some cutlery and query where a drink was we asked for 10 minutes ago! Little disappointed but would try again

The food was fine, our party of five had 12 oysters, chowder and garlic bread, followed by Thai mussels x 3 the duck and beef and pork burger. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful but we waited for 50 minutes for our starters and a further hour for the main course. The white wine wasn't chilled nor did it come in wine cooler. Over all we were not impressed, we have dined in your restaurant a couple of times previously and thought that the food and service were great. We made it known that we were not happy but understand that the problems originated in the kitchen not with the waiting staff who were very pleasant and helpful. The occasion was our 45th wedding anniversary and we did not want to spoil the evening by having a row in front of our family. I had thought to post an adverse review on Trip Advisor but have held off doing so until I hear from you as to your thought on our dining experience. Yours faithfully Janet Treagus janettreagus402@gmail.com

My husband and I went to the Lobster Pot in Beeston as it was my Wedding Anniversary, We had been to the one in Nottingham a few months before as we couldn't get a table at the Beeston one as it was always booked up, However I noticed an advert on Facebook for The Lobster Pot in Beeston and I booked on line and managed to get in and to top the night off all I had to do was quote "FACEBOOK" and we got free starters,The food was all delicious and the menu varied and it was really hard to choose as the were some many lovely dishes. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and we will be back sooner than later as my Lobster was absolutely fantastic and both my husband and I will be back.
