Known previously as Scarlet’s Covent Garden, The Long Acre has been a local favourite for years and is these days one of the cosiest and most stylish kitchen and bar setups in this part of London. On Upper St. Martin's Lane, right by Leicester Square station, here you’ll find an irresistible British-style food menu with an added little bit of flare. And it doesn’t matter how hungry you are, either, as small plates and gourmet sandwiches are available as well as classic mains in the way of fish & chips, sausage & mash and steak & ale pie. The Long Acre bar is well-stocked, of course, as well as great value and always with a vibrant atmosphere. This is one in Covent Garden not to miss so do reserve a table in advance.
We visited at lunch time. The food was above average but not outstanding. Service was minimal and they managed to over charge us! They did refund the overcharge after we pointed it out. We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to where we had to be and it served it’s purpose.
It's mainly a pub then a restaurant, we have two ribeye steaks and was quite well cooked. The service was a little slowly but we listen good live music in the meantime.
