The Lord Rodney Keighley is the oldest inn still operating in town. It used to be called The Olde Red Lion but was renamed as The Lord Rodney in 1780. Then, in 2008 it was acquired by Timothy Taylor’s and refurbed into the stylish, chic and charming bar and kitchen it is today. Short history lesson over, The Lord Rodney on Church Street is adored by locals and is almost always busy. The vibe is just right for any sort of casual occasion – not too fancy but you’ll still feel like you’re treating yourself.
In terms of food, Lord Rodney classics range from homemade chicken Kiev to wholetail Whitby scampi, fish and chips or a proper chicken, leek and smoked bacon pie served with good mash and thick gravy.
