A very pleasant meal for my wife’s birthday. Very enjoyable thank you.
Excellent food and service . Highly recommended we will be back
Nice and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Food was excellent. The only down fall I would say is that they don't serve cocktails or many spirits. A wine list was available and even thought the rose wine I had was delicious I would have fancied a cocktail or two. Apart from that was a great dinong experience.
Lovely food, good, attentive service. Had a good night, thanks
Small restaurant which was full but did not feel squashed. Excellent food and host was attentive without being obtrusive. Will definitely return
Really great. Fantastic food, fab staff, VG disabled facilities. Thanks
Amazing food and service was fantastic definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again
Great atmosphere, very warm and welcoming. Food was out of this world. Highly recommended.
3 hours in the restaurant from starter to desert, very slow service. Had to keep going to the bar for more drinks. Main was great chicken and prawn broth dish amazing however wife’s Hake and muscle both was of poor quality. Fish over cooked and muscle were of a very poor standard small and very gritty. Senior waitress very knowledgeable but over all was largely on her own. I will not return for what is an expensive experience lacking in quality or value for money.
Very warm and welcoming excellent customer service. Food was original and presented well
We really enjoyed the food and the whole experience. Our lady server was very knowledgeable. Would definitely go again xxx
First time visit and loved it! Food was fantastic, service was great and loved the place. Not crammed in so felt relaxed and very comfortable. Will definitely be returning and recommending to all.
Great food and service. Excellent experience overall. Would highly recommend.
Good food although place is a bit small. Enjoyed it though.
The restaurant was very quiet, so low on atmosphere. All else good as previously.
Great little gem of a restaurant with fantastic food with a difference. A must for foodies 😊
Everything was spot on, keep up the good work. Nice place to dine out.
Fabulous food and great service. They overcharged a bottle of wine on the bill but soon sorted it
I have been here previously but took the family this time as I knew it would be a special dining experience. The Mad Hunter did not fail to deliver exquisite food, great atmosphere and a very welcoming service. 👍
Excellent food and service. We will definitely be going again
Excellent- as always. Imaginative menu and charming staff. So glad this is local to us.

excellent value and service as always. etc etc etc etc
Amazing food, delicious for everyone at our table. Definitely be back
Excellent service excellent food just all round fabulous experience. Will definitely be returning
Great service. Fresh food. Interesting menu. Second visit and will return. I wish there were a greater choice of vegetarian options on the mains. Just one vegan.
Great food great staff and a really good night will be going again
Very creative and original food in a small but attractive setting.
Wonderful place, excellent food, we will certainly be back again.
We all agreed that the food was excellent and we left feeling that it had been well worth the money (though it was by no means cheap). Felt a bit hurried because they wanted us out within two hours, but it worked out OK. Would definitely visit again.
Couldn't fault the service and the food was cooked excellently.
I’m hard-of-hearing and found the “background” music hard to cope with, however majority of other diners seemed to enjoy it so probably not a issue for the majority. We were seated next to the entrance door, it wasn’t the best table as when guests arrived or departed we got cold blasts (a secondary pair of doors outside would work well)? Those were my only negative thoughts, everything else was superlative. Excellent. Brilliant Sunday lunch. Thanks to all the staff Craig 17/11/19
Great food and lovely atmosphere, staff very attentive. Will definitely be going again
Well we certainly did enjoy this little Gem of a place! Re booked for my Daughter's 30th just before Christmas. It is stylish in decor, African themes which we love all having roots in Johannesburg. Love the colours. Friendly Staff. The food is top quality. Cooked well, authentic. My Guests said they could not fault it. Complements to the Chef! Good to hear that the menu changes too I think on a monthly basis. Not cheap but if you have a great experience with no complaints then its worth it. Especially if its a special occasion.
Food was excellent and service was very good. The only complaint was having to wait 40 minutes before we ordered drinks. Other than that it was very nice. Would go to Mad Hunters again. The menu is unusual and you are spoilt for choice. Would recommend.
Excellent food and service in a relaxed atmosphere, nothing rushed and ate at our own pace.
Got to try a new just created dessert, and it was delicious. Can't remember what it was called though! It was chocolate and mint and caramel though!
Unusual menu, excellent food quality. Had a relaxed feel. Perhaps make clear that the water offered at the start comes with a hefty price tag.
Nice food with a South African twist. Haphazard service, but done with a smile.
Lovely evening. The good was wonderful, we didn’t feel rushed and the atmosphere was really relaxed and lovely.
