Lovely meal, very friendly staff. Great choice so everyone was happy.

Great good well priced and even had Heineken 0.0 on tap. Couldn't believe how tasty my 6oz rump was for such a small non prime cut. Bar staff and atmosphere was great although the arrival experience could do with some work for booked tables

Food was great but service was very slow, we were warned of a 45 minute wait but it the end it was almost an hour and we had a shoe to get to! Seemed like only one person bringing out food. Have had better experiences there on less busy occasions.

Only slight moan was there were no specials available, when you have had a few of the things on the menu already the choice feels limited. But enjoyed the meal overall.

Came in for the Sunday Lunch and the food was delicious, service was excellent - the staff were attentive and very friendly

On our way to DeMontfort Hall and had a bottle of white wine and Tai starters also mixed fries with cheese. Could not fault it and the staff were lovely. Would certainly go again.

Friendly and welcoming with everything ready and waiting when we arrived. A fine menu and a specials board and a great selection of ales and gin. A good venue.

Reserved a table. Arrived at 17:30. Ordered food at 17:45. Asked where food was at 18:50. Was told it had been given to a different table. Had to get a refund and leave as we were going to see Jason Manford which started at 19:30. Not at all happy. Won’t be going back.

It was busy so I would recommend booking a table. The burger was delicious, a mexicana, and chips are tasty too. Super atmosphere and a friendly service.

We booked here based on reviews we had seen. We wanted somewhere to eat before a show at De Montford Hall. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive. The food was excellent and served quickly. We weren't rushed, even though the pub was getting full by the time we left. I would definitely visit again if in Leicester.

Fabulous food , great staff would recommend , fast speedy service , good atmosphere, throughly enjoyed our meal . Great if you are thinking of a pre theatre or concert meal.

Ordered the food which was warm and good standard Got asked if everything was ok with the meals !! Excellent !! Also I think it was the manager who did that but also cleared the table Was a nice cosy clean busy pub but I will definitely visit again

We Went to The Maquis for Father's Day . I booked this for my husband and children. Booking online was easy and chose this as food, service and ambience is always great. Been here quite a few times with different people during the day and the evening and I just like the quality of the food, the happy, attentive and friendly staff.

Poor service,had to wait long time for drinks and had to wait long time for food , especially for deserts which should have been quick

The food was good, especially the nut cutlet, when it arrived but the service was VERY slow. They were ages before they took our order.

Love this pub. As usual, good food, great atmosphere & friendly staff. Always enjoy a visit to the Marquis. Would recommend if you haven't been before/lately.

Fantastic service and lovely food. Nice touch offering free deserts for mothers on Mother's Day! Love that they are dog friendly, and even provided a bowl of water for him.

Lemon wedge with waitbait stale and hard I had to give my hubby mine out of my gin and tonic! Kids fish fingers 90% batter pathetic amount of fish inside!!! I wouldn't let my daughter eat it! My Cajun chicken salad came with nothing as described. Was meant to have roasted peppers on it?!?! Was horrible spikey lettuce leaves, tomato and cucumber that's it. Hardly eadable and left most. Hubby enojoyed his roast although portion small and he was hungry again within the hour! The one positive.....loved the decor! X

Absolutely brilliant! Wonderful atmosphere when we arrived, fantastic service, quite obvious the staff have received excellent customer care training. Food was lovely, it exceed expectation.

Food was excellent, venue very nice, spacious and well decorated. Staff were very friendly and mostly helpful. No children's menu available, though did offer smaller portions but for the same price as an adults meal!

Considerate staff, good pub grub and good draught beer. Table available as booked when we arrived so no problems. Will use again if going to demontfort hall

Food was great but meat portion of roast beef dinner was quite small, service was excellent, food served within minutes of ordering and was hot.

Vibrant, traditional pub, full of character. Food range excellent, prices reasonable. Happy hour worth attending. The Marquis is only a 10 minute walk to DeMontfort Hall, so convenient for a pre-gig meal. Friendly staff. Recommended.

2 of the 3 starters were unavailable, this was not mentioned on ordering. We had to ask for items that were missing. Food very nice.

Food was lovely. Unfortunately we didn't have time to sample the starters and desserts but the place had a lovely feel to it, and some great cider.

We had a really good visit. the food was really nice and the restaurant has a nice Christmas atmosphere. We would definitely go back here again.

Sunday roast was rather disappointing. Overcooked yorkshire pudding and promised crackling when queried where it was we were told not available with that type of pork joint!

Ordered a pot of tea but it was forgotten, tasted good when did turn up but hey could have filled the pot so got mor than one small cup after all it's only extra water. Food was good had chicken burger and steak pie both were good

Average food , excellent service . - few issues with food such as getting cabbage not peas with the pie and cold chocolate sauce but nothing major

Excellent food great service would reccomend as a great palce to meeet Eat nd drink with friends or colleagues. Quick service meant we could relax and enjoy our food before heading on to wahtch a show at DeMontfort hall which is just around the corner. we will deffinitly visit again

The Marquis Wellington is a cool and pleasant pub with nice food and has a good variety of beverages. The staff is also very friendly.

Lovely olde worldy pub with modern touches. Spacious outdoor area, with plenty of seating. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and polite. Service was quick and the food was to high standard and my choice was homemade. Can't fault the place.
