As usual, excellent all-round service and food. Had to wait a little time for our starters tonight, but everything else bang on. The wine was good but advertised as cab sav when it was a cab sav-merlot mix.
Warm welcome, cosy place, great location on the Thames! The food was really good and the atmosphere on the week end is great! I recommend it!
A very pleasant evening in a noisy, busy restaurant. Hardly any delay in ordering drinks/food, that arrived promptly. A good atmosphere and very lively. Happy to re-visit.
Great historical building with loads of atmosphere , nice food, and attentive staff. Next time I'll book a table by the window as there's such a brilliant view! Do they do ghost hunts here, I wonder!
Great service, wonderful atmospheric pub and lovely food. Had a great experience, would definitely recommend. We went for the roast kamb/beef and chicken and all were excellent. A little pricey.
A lovely cosy pub, right by the river with in a lovely setting. It feels steeped in history. The food was and service were good!
Great food and ambiance, the only problem was that we had a two hour slot and as we arrived a bit late it felt a bit like we needed to finish before the next people arrived.
Wonderful old pub, very atmospheric and well kept, with a nice restaurant on the first floor. Very good food, and excellent service with well trained and experienced waitresses (not easy to find these days). We had a very good time!
Great food, good range of beers and friendly service... Historical venue by the river... Definitelly recommended as a place to go in East London... Lukas
Along southbank, an hidden gem. Great place with typical pub atmosphere and cosy feeling, also great food, portions are generous and service is very friendly.
Aa dull Janusry day was made brighter & warmer by our lunch visit to the Mayflower. We enjoyed the wonderful ambiance , varied menu , tasy dishes & excellent service . We cannot wait to return. Gordon & Judith Hall.
Lovely old pub on the river, selling great beers and wines. The food is above the usual "pub grub" offering great choice all presented nicely and tastes great, the front of house are very accommodating and pleasant attentive to you. To sum up a great pub reflected by its popularity.
Excellent meal, friendly service. I like the fact that they give you bottles of water without being asked, and that you are given plenty of time.
Nice location, horrible food, worst steak in à long time, asked for medium rare, Well done was served. Overpriced for the Quality of food. Never again.
Booking it was so easy to do on line, We had arrived at the Restaurant we didn't had to wait around to be seating. The food it was tasty and well presented and service excellent with helpful and knowledgeable.
Great vibe and delicious generous portions. Staff were very friendly and remained courteous even when they were clearly rushed off their feet! Would highly recommend.
Setting and service is always amazing here but the food wasn't as good as the last time I went for some reason - apart from the pie from the specials board, which was great.
The starter and main course were good and the desserts were excellent. The beers were OK but not my favourites. The pub was very crowded and rather noisy but it is quieter in the restaurant upstairs. However, in all the pub has a very good atmosphere.
Great food and service, we had pies and they were really good - proper pies rather than a stew with a puff pastry lid! The bar is incredibly busy though so when we had to vacate our table (2 hour limit) we had to go elsewhere as no room downstairs!
The Mayflower serves excellent food in a great location and with fantastic service. Good selection of beers too available in the restaurant and the pub downstairs.
Another wonderful meal at the Mayflower. Friendly, attentive staff, despite how busy it was, and simply wonderful food. The fish (sea bass and hake) were particularly notable.
Service very good, pub, view and ambiance really nice. Burger and blue cheese on top and fries were not really warm and not as astonishing as in the previous comments. Vegan plat was good.
The food was not good at all. I had the steak which was chewy and potatoes which were saggy and smelt bad. My company had the lamb salad. It didn't feel fresh. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere nice but the food needs to be improved.
This is a lovely old style English pub with a lot of history. There's a great menu with plenty of choice and the service was very friendly. Will definitely come again.
Fantastic Scottish waitress, took the time to chat and looked after us very well. Food fantastic as always, great relaxed atmosphere can't recommend highly enough!
This lovely little riverside pub has just the right mix of cool and classic to make it a great destination. The food is fabulous and the staff are super friendly.
Consistently great food and atmosphere at this pub! We also had a lovely big table with views of the river as a bonus.
Great food, brilliant location with friendly service. Definitely recommend. Varied menu offering selection of roasts and many alternatives. Puddings where delicious and staff attentive and welcoming.
Had a very enjoyable meal in the dining room upstairs, made particularly delicious as the chef was willing to mix part of meal A with part of meal B so that I got exactly what I felt like. Only complaint would be from the beer drinkers in the group who waited a longer time for their drinks to come upstairs from the bar downstairs. Despite this, all 4 of us would recommend The Mayflower to others.
Really friendly staff, lovely original features with views of the river from upstairs dining room and the deck outside - best Sunday Roast at a pub we've had in a long time. Highly recommended.
great food, great service, great environment. Always make sure you book in advance. Great that they let dogs in as well. Thanks Mayflower! Always a pleasure.
Friendly staff. Good quality. Maybe main dishes could be slightly larger and chips home made. I love the roasted duck breast. Very good experience after all.
A fantastic little gem of a pub, lovely staff, lovely food with a great selection of beers, I would highly recommend a visit, but be careful of high tide!
One of the best pubs in London without doubt. Beautiful period features, great river views and of course beer and food of the highest order
It was very nice place with very nice view with affordable price. Food was very traditional and my boyfriend loved it. We will visit again.
It was my first visit to The Mayflower. The food and service were excellent and I will definitely be going back. Highly recommended and the location was great for a canal walk to London Bridge and Tower Bridge.
Amazing pub but the staff are a bit grumpy and not very accommodating. There is a venue across the street which hosts events until 9:30. Would be a perfect match except the pub refuses to keep the kitchen open past 9:30 so food had to be pre paid and was laid out cold before we got there. Not very imaginative....
Good comfort food in cosy upstairs room. Great stop off on historical tour of the area.
Eat here on a regular basis, its our local there are pubs nearer but they don't have the quality and friendly approach you get at the Mayflower. Always good food and great wines and guest ales and sitting on the river what's not to like on a summers day?
It was quiz night in the bar so it was very busy and noisy. We had to finish our meal quickly as they had the decorator coming in so that was a shame. A bit over priced, but the meal was nice, and the portions was a good size.
It was very hard to find the Mayflower. Even people in the neighborhood didn't know where to go. Upon arrival there was a very crowded bar scene downstairs and it took asking a couple of people about our reservation before we were directed to the restaurant upstairs. Food was ok - not great, service was mediocre at best -- it took them over 10 minutes to bring a soda to the table at one point, and the starters came out with the meals. The servers seemed disconnected from the needs of the table.
Great ambiance, you can feel the history here. Good service, good food, the scurvy ale is well kept and served at the right temperature. Views over the river: in all, great place for lunch.
We tried the Wednesday night pie and pint special and we're not disappointed. The food was tasty and the staff friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Really liked The Mayflower! The staff were very friendly and service was good in terms of speed and attentiveness. Nice pint of their house ale, Scurvy, good view of the river and the pub itself is old and quaint. The food was nice - I had the fish and chips - my only complaint was the batter could have been crispier, and I prefer a more rustic chip, but it was still tasty. Very nice cheeseboard after! Decent prices too, which is always welcome.
We had a very nice evening. The food was really nice and really good service as well. It was a little bit loud in the restaurant but all in all very good. We will definitely come back :)
Good food, good staff and nice casual ambience. Always go there for the mussels 😀
Great visit, nice beer & drinks then attentive staff for food ordering and delivery. The place was busy but didn't seem manic and too busy, we all enjoyed the traditional atmosphere
Great food and service on Fathers' Day. Terrific views from the terrace pre-lunch, cosy period dining room, real period not fake. Well worth re-visiting. 10/10
Great location. Great food. Great atmosphere. Always a great experience when I come here, staff are friendly and there is often live music in the main bar which is fab.
Great vibe and food, very good service! I would definitely go there again.
