First time visiting the Mayflower and what a find it was!!! Absolutely first-class food and service, at a very reasonable price!! Add to that the wonderful charm of such a beautiful old building, right on the river with great views! Will definitely be returning soon!!!
Food is great, had the steak & ale pie and it was delicious. Waiter wasn't friendly but service was okay and food was served quite quickly!
Fantastic looking pub in a great location. Sunday lunch was tasty with a generous portion. Particularly good service.
As ever, a good selection of specials and a new set of beers to try since I last visited. The food was tasty and well cooked and the service was friendly and efficient.
Great food, good drink selection, great staff a beautiful beer garden on the banks of the thames and an amazing view, you cannot go wrong!
One of the best riverside venues in London, good and decent enough food. Will return for Sunday Blackout. Restaurant bit was not too busy. Very good house ales.
The pub has great character and a lovely atmosphere. The food is excellent and the portions very generous in size. A great place for food or even just drinks.
Great local pub on the river, serving a serious choice of food and nice ales and wine selection, the staff are friendly and accommodating. A place to visit and chill with friends and family.
This is the best place on the river Thames, of you haven't been there yet then you best change that. The food, drink and service...
Very good food and service. Especially good for history buffs too. I highly recommend The Mayflower. The menus contained something for everyone from steak and venison to veggie and even one or more vegan dish.
Great beer, Good food and service. Relaxed atmosphere despite being very busy. Amazing view across the Thames. Good and frequent public transport from nearby Rotherhithe London Overground station. Right next to the Brunel museum.
A traditional and historic pub with friendly staff and excellent food and drink. Memorable cheese board. It was my first visit for around 40 years, so I was introducing it to my family. A perfect venue for a meal after my son's 21st birthday trip up the Shard.
Loved the quiz! But too hard! Will definitely come back!
Everything was fantastic my Dutch friends enjoyed themselves, the ambiance, fab food, wonderful service and friendly staff All want to visit the Mayflower again Thank You for making it such a good experience
I love the Mayflower pub! It has such a great cosy atmosphere and fantastic location sitting over the Thames. I've been quite a few times as it is local to me and they've never failed to serve up delicious food and a great drink! Highly recommend.
Great place, easy to access, right at the Thames with a terrace over the riverside. The food is one of the best one can get in a London pub. The atmosphere is divine, service is attentive, efficient, professional and just lovely. You want to feel London? Go there. We'll be back!
Great local riverside pub with bags of atmosphere and history. amazing selection of food being cooked and served better than most "pub grub" establishments. a good selection of wines and beers all well cared for. above all the staff are very friendly and keen to offer a great experience to the customer.
I have been to the Mayflower before and I already knew that the place would be beautiful and welcoming, and the food amazing. My parents and I had the Sunday roast (the veggie option was exceptionally good) and finished it off with a dessert that was delicious (and caused us to have to roll all the way home). The waitress who served us was lovely tooand very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Very good food and a nice atmosphere. We will come back!
The day may not have been sunny, but the service certainly was. Delicious pies with all the trimmings & tasty beers.
A wonderful pub, with delicious food and friendly, helpful staff.
Sunday Roast was excellent. They ran out of some desserts. Love candelight dinners.
Loved it! We took my 91 year old Mum to The Mayflower for Sunday lunch and although the place was buzzing the staff were so lovely and attentive. Maybe we got extra special attention because of my elderly mum but we felt really looked after and my mum felt she was enjoying a real treat. My husband chose the burger and chips and said it was the best burger he has had in recent memory. Mum and I both chose roast lamb. It was delicious. My Mum could not eat all her lunch and they offered to box it up for her to finish at home. Can't wait to return.
Loved this place ....away from all the tourists just perfect ! The service was excellent and the " pub" food was delicious ...would go back
casual pub dining with good wholesome food.. great selection of beers and wines, and friendly attentive staff. Have eaten here several times and never disappointed.
Wonderful riverside location, with the restaurant on the first floor overlooking the river through big windows. Even though the restaurant was full, the service was very attentive. The food is beyond compare, complemented by a tasty, good value Sauvignon Blanc. Highly recommended.
One of the best traditional British food place. Please, mind the kitchen timing. They will allow you to book a table at 8.30pm on a Sunday and then tell you that the kitchen closed 30 min ago.
One of the best old pubs on the river , good food real nice ales and good selection of wines etc. With the added bonus of great friendly staff keen to make your experience well worth it.
It was a lot smaller inside than I expected, but the service was good. The servers were friendly and the food arrived fast. I did expect the view from the inside (upstairs room) to be a lot better than what it was. Also it was totally grilled up. Felt a bit like jail :) The beer garden was a lot better but of course, it was very crowded and so hard to find any space. All in all, it was a good experience.
Great food and atmosphere, lovely old pub right next to the Thames
Great food, drink and atmosphere, would definitely go there again!
Always a pleasure to go here for dinner, as usual the food was perfect, the staff are so attentive and lovely and a great atmosphere!
Excellent food and very friendly service! The pub dates back to the 1600s and has great charm. Very convenient to public transportation. Strong recommend a visit!!
Reasonable pub food with some reservations: Service was very good, and the pub itself is atmospheric, but the food, while not bad, is uninspiring. I've been a couple of times now and on both occasions food has been delivered lukewarm and not of the highest quality. I would go back, but with limited enthusiasm.
Great, historic location and atmosphere. The menu choice was good. good service. Perhaps the drinks were a little expensive. Will take the family there again
I absolutely love this pub and have not had a bad meal yet (and I've been lots)!
Definitely one of my favourite pubs in London. Beautiful venue on the river side. Relaxed and cheerful atmosphere and great beers at decent price. The food is lovely, too.
The Mayflower is the best. Pub/restaurant with Incredible food, excellent Service and stunning views of the River
We were acommodated despite a confusion arising out of the booking process, and had a great time and also a pleasant meal by the river.
Absolutely excellent, lovely food, friendly staff and a lovely atmospheric place. Would highly reccommend the dining room or the more informal pub style downstairs. Also, great views and atmosphere from the jetty.
A great old British pub on the river, good food, great wines, and stunning beers inc real ales what's not to like? It also helps that all the staff are lovely and friendly in serving you with pleasant smiles.
The staff were really lovely and the space we had was fantastic! Thanks! Everyone had a great time - will be back!
A new selection of guest beers and a tasty election of specials made for a pleasant evening
Recently my wife and I spent six delightful days in London. The light crew on American Airlines recommended and raved about “The Mayflower” pub way out on Rotherhite Street. They assured us it was worth the trip out to the historical docks areas of south east London. We did and it was! BE SURE to call ahead and make a reservation for the upstairs dining room. The whole menu looked yummy. We settled for two savory pies and were not disappointed at all. The young lady who served us (Fatima we think) was just simply charming. What a pleasant evening this was.
Excellent food and friendly service. Chose haddock and chips which were very good. My guest had the salad with feta cheese and Welsh lamb which was delicious
Very interesting old pub. Excellent food. We had the Sunday lunch and enjoyed the views of the Thames and the good service from all the staff. A good selection of real ales for those who enjoy them.
Great for Sunday lunch! This historic setting gives a unique atmosphere and ambience to the Mayflower. The food and service are excellent. I will return soon!
A perfect location for introducing our friends from France to a typical English sunday lunch. Atmosphere and staff just perfect. Food great. Would have given a 6 score but for the fact that the sunday roasts were not really quite hot enough. All in all though a great experience.
One of the best old world pubs in London if not the best on the river.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. My roast wasn't quite as hot as I would have liked but this was almost forgotten after the delicious sticky toffee pudding I had for dessert. Wonderful pub to spend a quiet Sunday afternoon.
