Highly helpful staff, reliably good food. As with any restaurant, I's be happier if there was a strictly free-range policy on eggs, chicken and anything containing eggs, e.g, I once enquired there if the tartare sauce contained free-range eggs, and the answer was that egg powder was used, so basically no. This is not a direct criticism of the Mayflower, which I think is generally excellent, just that I think it is archaic that battery hens / their eggs are still widely used in the food industry, and I think places with already good reputations like the Mayflower could gain even wider appreciation by following such ethical practices. Thank you for your service.
A beautiful historic pub, a peaceful local with cozy wooden interior, Thames lapping outside, Great Food and Drink and Lovely staff, perfect place to sit in solitude or chew the fat with your friends
Nice environment once a large group behind us left. Food was overpriced for what it was.
Love it here every time. Great deals on certain nights too.
We had a great evening. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was very attentive. Thanks. We will be coming back.
Great location: our table had a wonderful view of the river. Friendly and welcoming staff, delicious food, and a good range of beers (and we got a free pint!).
This is a great little pub with a old time pub feel, delicious food and wonderful service. Sunday roasts are fantastic!
Staff were lovely and the food was great. Definitely be going back
Nice pub, lovely service and staff but let down by the food. We both had the roast dinner; the beef was chewy, the yorkshire pudding was a little burnt and the vegetables weren't very fresh. It's a shame as I really like the venue.
Lovely old pub with river views. Good service and cracking food. Save space for the cheeseboard if you can. It was busy on a Monday night so worth booking a table.
Delicious food, lovely pub atmosphere, beautiful Thames views. Will definitely go back.
As usual, the food was perfect - always cooked so well, staff were lovely and attentive and it is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere
The specials were, as always, top notch. We went for the quiz but ate at the same time and enjoyed both. The lamb was really tasty as was beef pie
Wonderful pub in a great riverside location. Excellent, tasty food at reasonable prices, with attentive service. An all-round great experience which will be repeated soon.
We received friendly and attentive service - including being happy to brave the crowded bar to get drinks for those of us who didn't want wine - a great range of excellent food in wonderful ye olde pubbe looking onto the Thames. We left very happy. A deservedly popular pub-restaurant.
Always a great place for a Friday evening unwind, God food great wines and beers plus occasionally the serenading of Nathan playing a little jazz !
Very good food and fun atmosphere. Historic feel to the pub and good beer. Nice to be on the river, Will go again and take friends with us.
Good food, nice view, would recommend to friends and family
Beautiful old pub tucked away in Rotherhithe village. If you're eating then opt to sit downstairs in the pub rather than upstairs in the restaurant (it's a bit cramped but there's loads more atmosphere down there). We had the Sunday roast but it was a bit disappointing (no crackling with the pork!?!). The apple and rhubarb crumble was delicious though. I'd definitely recommend this pub for a quiet pub in a quiet corner - just don't expect too much from your roast.
Had a lovely meal at the Mayflower - the food and atmosphere were excellent and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back
It was a lovely evening with friends. Good food and the Fish and Chips deal was excellent. Staff did not rush us even though it was a busy evening.
Great, food is always excellent and service is too. My wife and are regular patrons and have never been disappointed. Nothing more needs to be said!
I find dining at the Mayflower a satisfying experience, both because of the unique historic setting with its relaxed and cosy centuries-old feel, and because the food seems consistently good and tasty. Last night I had the Venison and Bacon Pie with mash and vegetables, washed down with a nice guest ale. The venison made for a rich filling and the pastry was good too, so I think that's my favourite of Mayflower's pies.
Friendly and fast service, good food and great live music.
Great food, amazing service, and a cosy atmosphere made for a truly enjoyable evening. The menu and drink selection offers something for everyone, but it is the ambience of The Mayflower that makes the experience.
Great little place - busy but great atmos and tasty roasts!
Had very nice lunch there, we were seated upstairs with the view of Thames. Menu is quite varied and service was friendly and the decor is very cosy, lots of candles which makes it look very nice when the evening comes.
It's always nice to go back to the Mayflower. Excellent beer (the Scurvy is particularly to be recommended) and generous portions in a great setting alongside the Thames.
We had an amazing Sunday lunch! They cater perfectly for veggies too & we had a blast :) Thank you so much Mayflower, we will most definately be back again!! Cheers,
Great food and good service. Very helpful staff too. Would go again.
Great character. Friendly service. Good food and pleasant atmosphere.for a small establishment the place feels up very quickly.
Lovely ambiance and great food - we frequent the Mayflower for a drink, but it was our first time at the restaurant and we were very pleased!
Great traditional old world pub with quirks, serving a good selection of wines and beers especially cask ales!, the food is great much better than the average pub food served with a smile by all the staff there.
I went to the Mayflower for Sunday roast. I had the vegetarian Wellington which was delich. My friends had the meat options which looked lovely. The pub is a tight squeeze being as it's so old and small so I would recommend booking a table. It was a great time and I will definitely be going back
Restaurant was nicely laid out restaurant staff were friendly but the food was pretty average. The bar staff were quite unwelcoming but the drinks selection was very good.
Lovely staff and great food as it always is here.
Lovely little restaurant. The food was good, the service was smiley and the atmosphere was great. Everyone seemed happy and we had a great view of the river. I'll definitely go again.
My favourite pub in London and their Sunday Roast certainly didn't dissappoint.
We had a lovely Sunday roast today with delicious beer. We booked online...a good job we did as the pub was very busy. The service and food were excellent. Will definitely go there again.
Friendly staff, great setting and ambience and good food. The only downside was that the chips were not the best I have had, but everything else was great.
Great, honest pub grub. Well cooked and tasty. We had one special - which was good, as always - and one from the normal menu and we'd happily eat them again.
I absolutely love this pub; the food is always delicious, it has a charming atmosphere and the staff are brilliant.
Atmosphere was great, people happy vibe. Live music was great. Awesome food and great service, though one of the waitress wasn't that nice. Overall, highly recommended.
Best Sunday roast around, good wine and beers relaxed atmosphere. Just what's needed for a sunday with friends or family.
The food was excellent, the ambience, even on a quiet midweek lunchtime, was fine. Service was detatched but not unfriendly. The wine, by the glass, was redicoulously expensive for a Chardonnay from a supermarket, incurring a bill alone, of 60 pounds. Total bill for two persons was 99 pounds! Over the the top for a 'Pub Lunch'.
Food was fabulous as useual, was there for valentine's day and I have to day the atmosphere in the restaurant floor was great!
A great pub with a wonderful atmosphere and feeling of history. The food is enjoyable - particularly the daily meat pie selections. I certainly would go back.
lovely food as always in a very cute place. the service was phenomenal too
The restaurant serve a great variety of delicious food, the mussel starter, lamb shank and crumble were all fantastic choices. Accompanied with superb beer and service.
Excellent meal in lovely venue - easy walking distance from Rotherhithe station.
