Been here a few times and the food has always been fantastic. Great pub and great atmosphere .will definitely be returning soon

I've eaten here before and it was very nice but this wasn't great. I think our plates were forgotten in the kitchen as after a long wait I asked for our food and the waitress looked surprised we hadn't had them. The food wasnt piping hot and the beef tough. When we asked for a dessert menu we were given them by a very nice and polite waitress but then had to ask another to take our order and she was quite rude. I appreciate the restaurant was busy but polite service is essential to encourage customers to return. I'm not sure I will. On a positive, the dessert was lovely.

Food was excellent and the staff as friendly and helpful as usual

Company was great service was good, my food was not. Fish finger sandwich in brioche bun; I do not expect to pay£7 for packet fish fingers , not even white fish Captain Birds Eye, more your super saver grey fish. Poor 😫

A good variety of meals to choose from with large portions, especially the desserts. Service was quick and the staff were very pleasant.

I don’t like complaining but.... We waited around twenty minutes for our drinks to arrive (one coke and one cherry mojito). The menu looked really good but we ordered a burger which was nice but the chicken skewers were quite bland. The worst part were the flies!! We moved halfway through our meal to stop trying to waft them away but in there were twenty plus of them!! Couldn’t fault the staff but the flies ruined our experience.

We came for both parents birthdays it was a 70th birthday and the Meal did not disappoint would definitely come again and would recommend this pub to family and friends with out a doubt

Great food at good prices with very generous portions. Quiet so that we could hear our friends perfectly and excellent service. What more could we ask?

The food was nice and the service was ok. I felt it was very noisy at times and some of the tables quite close together.

Excellent service and food, but need to control the flies with a zap machine as they were a constant bother and kept landing on the plates.

We came for Sunday Dinner and we throughly enjoyed it, I had the pork dinner which there was nothing to fault with, the meat was soft and lovely and my partner had the steak and blackpudding pie and that again was lovely, the meat in that too was soft and they were not shy with the meat, it was like a proper pie! Was our second time back and we will be back again! Thank you

Batter on my fish was not very nice- a bit rubbery and not the usual crispy. However cheesecake was amazing! Only place I know that makes their own.

A good meal with polite staff also great service, we were well looked after and good atmosphere. Would recommend a visit.

Waiter was superb, lovely young man that couldn’t do enough for us and was also very up to date with his gin 👍 Meal was very very nice if there was anything to moan about it would be we were very hot sat under spot lights. Thank you all for a great meal.
