As always a warm welcome and a lovely Sunday Roast.

Service slow and poor. Roast beef was OK, but meat had a lot of fat/sinew. Covered in too much gravy too (would have been preferred to have gravy in a separate jug personally.) Chocolate brownie sent back as was not cooked. Staff friendly enough but service too slow and will not be returning.

Lovely pub. Very accommodating for our gender reveal of our baby! Can’t thank enough!

Great food, the only criticism I would make is that there was only one vegetarian choice and that was Risotto. For me to be a regular visitor and as a vegetarian there will have to be more than a choice of Risotto.

I really love it here. So cosy and comfortable. Food is so good and excellent value food money.

Told on arrival no cucumber available to have with the Gin as advertised, also no tomatoes to have with salad. Tow of us had the Cod with Capers and clams, but it came without Capers and no clams, one of us had the Chicken in tarragon, except it was chicken in gravy. We pointed this out, but no money taken from the bill, only that they would make chef aware !

Very nice meal but service was a bit slow I guess leading up to Christmas with parties in it is to be expected. Friendly staff and good food.

Very disappointed. Husbands birthday treat. Choice of starter not available for two of us. Beef chewy plus securing twine still on😱Beef replaced but no better. Had to request horseradish/ mustard, usual accompaniments to roast beef! ....had to ask for Yorkshire pud!! Cod not available but replaced with bream👍...enjoyed. A long wait to be served. Staff friendly. Expensive for a mediocre meal😥

When we first arrived and shown our table we were very disappointed with the position, the table was crammed in and we only had benches on one side (we are all in our early seventies and certainly would not be able to sit there for long, also the people on the other tables (men on a works ‘do’) were extremely noisy and we couldn’t hear ourselves speak. We complained to the staff and after saying that we might have to leave they managed to find us a table in the main restaurant which was much quieter and we enjoyed the rest of the evening. It as actually my husband’s birthday. The food and service was very good and we appreciated the care given to us by the staff. If we went to this restaurant again I would definitely check where we would be sitting.

We went for our anniversary. The food was presented beautifully, came out quickly and tasted delicious. It would have been nice to be seated where there wasn’t a large party dining so we could hear each other talk! We moved after dinner to get a drink in a quiet seating area near the fire which was lit, very cosy. We will visit again.

Excellent booking system. No problems. Service very good. Food delicious. Drinks seemed slightly expensive. Would visit again.

Quiet Sunday supper by the fire, staff and food just lovely but more people need to go!

Second visit here in the last few weeks and this was as consistently good as the first time - food was excellent and staff great. Restaurant a little empty at first (7.00 pm), but got busier as evening progressed. Music was a bit too loud at first, but a word with staff and they instantly turned down to just the right level. A great evening and we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing food and service. Lovely atmosphere and comfy seating. Would highly recommend.

Waiting a while to be served and then took the order, but the waiter had only taken 3 meals instead of 4 and then informed us that one of the meals had run out. A couple of the starters had also run out. We had booked for New Year’s Eve at 7.45.pm. Can’t believe they were running out of food when not all the tables were occupie. Staff were not very attentive. Several times we had to ask where the drinks were that we had ordered. Then the band started up and drowned out any conversation whilst we were having dinner. We then decided to ask for the bill straight away and left......

Food was delicious, all the staff were very friendly and helpful , prices were good and it has a lovely ambience in the restaurant with the pretty lighting.
