The restaurant was lively, staff friendly and efficient. The food was wonderful. I had a starter trio of salmon that was the best starter I have ever had! Fillet steak was perfection and my wife was delighted with the rib eye. Superb

This is a restaurant that we frequent every month as they vary the menus on a monthly basis. Always get a very good reasonably priced 2 course lunch but the sea bass (2 course) and Xmas turkey (3 course set) menus today were excellent. This was only topped off by our waiter Daniel that we have never seen before. Unfortunately, he is leaving shortly but is a credit to the restaurant. Glenn & Orla

Arrived early but we were seated and looked after quickly. Service was very good, atmosphere was pleasant and food was lovely.

I had keek and potato soup, it was totally impossible to distinguish any potato or leek flavour. It was a purée and tasted very strongly of Boullion or similar..

Lovely welcome, cosy, seasonal surroundings. Food was beautifully served and delicious. Staff very friendly. My only comment would be, I didn't like the Worcester/Tabasco sauce over the turkey. I’m not a fan of these so didn’t like that. It’s quite a strong flavour and not what I would have with a turkey Christmas dinner. Otherwise it was delicious. I then had sticky toffee pudding, and felt the sauce was very, very sweet today. I don’t like giving negative feedback but these are my honest thoughts about my meal today. I hope it is helpful.

Staff were all so nice and helpful and even left us undisturbed when we stayed most of the afternoon. Food was hot, well presented, tasty and all our chicken breasts were large so plenty in each portion.

Booked a table for 17.15. Ordered our drinks and meals. Waited 45 minutes for our started to come out while 5 tables after us arrived and received their meals before us. Eaten here many times without an issue but don’t expect to wait 45 minutes for a started

Salad on the starter didn't taste very fresh, steak was very tasty however the sauce was very strong. Service was good, atmosphere etc, haven't been for a while and didn't seem to be the standard it has been before! A bit disappointed.

We hadn't been to the Mustard Seed for a while, but we had to be in Inverness on the morning of my wife's (Susy's) birthday so I booked a table. The welcome was warming the service excellent and and ended with a lovely touch of a sparkly candle in a scoop of ice cream to celebrate her birthday. Charles

Lovely warm atmosphere. Went for Xmas lunch. 3 courses. All were lovely. Staff were great.

Went on a Tuesday evening, the restaurant was bustling but not completely full. Service was extremely quick, to the point of being peremptory and almost rude. We felt very rushed. The food was really good although we don’t understand why, if you wanted to order the fixed price for 3 courses Christmas menu, you could only do that if the whole table ordered from it. Again, we were told that in quite a dismissive way. In short, the food was great, and the premises are lovely, but the service wasn’t particularly nice, and the menu ordering rule was just odd.

Excellent dining experience. Service was spot on and the staff were attentive without being a distraction. Food was excellent and value for money.

The waiter was very knowledgeable and personable, and we warmed to him straight away. We only had mains, I had duck, which was lovely, but I did expect the skin to be crispy but it wasn’t. All the same it was good food. My friend had the Salmon, she doesn’t eat the skin, so would have liked more of the sauce, (as she removed the skin.) The posset was a bit of a let down not enough posset and the pastry was anaemic and not crispy enough, it was very underwhelming, (could lose the pastry and add a ginger crunch and it would have been stunning with more of the posset) My friend had the cheesecake which was absolutely lovely. So a mixed bag from us, but we would return. It’s a lovely place.

Service was very slow. We felt we were crammed in a corridor area, with other people banging against our table. The food was not the usual standard
