Used to be regular at Mustard Seed prior to moving to NE.still a lovely place for excellent lunch and nice glass of wine.have sent many of my friends over the years.

Fabulous meal and Emma waited on us and she was efficient and lovely to us.

Food was delicious, just the perfect portion and presented beautifully. Staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean and has a lovely atmosphere. One of my favourite places in Inverness!

The food was acceptable but the service wasn’t good at all. Since we arrived we felt that they were in a hurry for us to eat and leave the restaurant.

Our visit was amazing. The service, food, drinks and the whole restaurant was incredibly pleasant. I’ve loved going to this restaurant in the past & I’ll make sure to go again.

Fabulous meal and service! We had a reservation for 2 and met a new friend on our tour that morning. We had booked months ahead and knew a last minute request to add a 3rd party might not be feasible but the host was kind to accommodate us with a slight wait for a table to open up. Wonderful experience!

Another lovely meal. We were going to the Theatre so had the Early Evening Menu, couldn't fault anything. Friendly staff and food came with just the right smout of time in-between courses.

As always, a thoroughly enjoyable visit to the Mustard Seed where I always feel most welcome. My friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch … my main course was ‘tweaked’ slightly for me which I appreciated. The staff are very friendly and professional and don’t rush you out. I look forward to my next visit!

Excellent lunch! Great food - the service is amazing. Sophia and her team were lovely - great fun and very efficient. Good perfect with a good value lunch menu. A buzzy atmosphere adds to the enjoyment. Thoroughly recommend! PS we went with our baby granddaughter - high chairs and the staff made her feel very welcomed.

We last visited The Mustard Seed about 6 years ago (we're not local), though it seemed much the same as before. The venue was packed, busy and bustling. Despite that, service was quick, efficient and friendly. The food was good. We shared a fishcake starter which was very tasty, followed by mushroom and spinach tortellini with toasted seeds and truffle oil. The flavours were delicious, but it was quite rich and creamy and would possible have suited being a starter size portion, as by the end we felt very full, even though it wasn't a huge portion. Also, it might have benefitted from a few wild mushrooms served on top, as the mushroom filling in the tortellini got a bit lost in the creamy, truffle-oily sauce. For dessert we shared an apple crumble with ice cream, which was very nice. Service was good throughout, but at the end it fell off a little. The restaurant was starting to empty out and staff were busy clearing, tidying and preparing for the next day. We fancied having a coffee and whisky to end the meal, but after about 15 minutes of waiting (we were up on the balcony area so catching someone's eye was tricky), we went off the idea, so when someone came to the table we just ordered the bill. Overall, though, the experience was a positive one.

A lovely warm friendly restaurant. Staff were attentive and polite. Starter and main courses were excellent both in presentation and taste. Small issue with delay between courses but worth the wait and they did apologise for that. One small downside was the desserts. Slight anticlimax to the meal as both the cheesecake and the crumble lacked taste and were basically boring lacking refinement. However this was really a minor issue as the first two courses more than compensated. Definitely will return.

Good range of choice. Efficient staff and very helpful with wine choice. Nice touch to bring bread and butter before meal. The monkfish curry was billed as being with stir fried veg. The veg wasn’t too much in evidence. There was some, but mixed with the sauce. A tiny bit more rice would have been appreciated. The duck was excellent.

On a whistle stop visit to Inverness, we decided to treat ourselves to lunch. The Mustard Seed was absolutely the best choice. The restaurant was cosy and quirky, the service excellent and food to die for. It was indeed a lovely treat. And excellent value to boot!
