Just excellent all round. My favourite restaurant in Inverness. It’s hard to go anywhere else as I live it so much. Wonderful.

It was fantastic! The table overlooking the river was awesome and the menu selections and specials were plentiful so that our party of 4 selected a variety of tastes, including desserts

Everything was great apart from the white wine which was brought to the table without having been in the fridge.

Our table upstairs was by the balcony door. Please avoid! It was like Piccadilly Circus with staff coming and going. Food was okay but not as good as anticipated. Figs with goats cheese...... you almost needed a magnifier to find the cheese. Fish sharing platter could have been better. It was a small amount of food and the prosciutto ham was very fatty and tough. We both had venison for mains. Meat was good but rosemary crushed potatoes tasted bland and looked like green mushy peas. We won't be going back!

I went to Mustard Seed for my mums birthday, and she enjoyed the food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We are both vegan and the vegan menu was brilliant. This is one of my favourite places to eat out.

I hear that the kitchen has changed hands since we last visited. It shows: food was very bland, over cooked and lacked any thought/seasoning. We are not tourists, but will not return till we hear good things again.

Had lovely meal so tasty and excellent service just a shame we didn’t have room for a dessert so wanted to have the cheesecake with Orkney fudge!! Maybe next visit!

Excellent place to dine in Inverness. The staff were very friendly and worked to help us enjoy each bite of our delicious meal. We had salads and the special for the night Trout and it was very tasty. A must place to eat.

It was very busy so quite noisy as you would expect. The staff were very efficient and nice to us. A lovely experience for our friends birthday. We had a great time.

Food was excellent as always, however service was unusually pedestrian on this occasion. Took 3.5 hours from start to finish for just 3 courses. 45 minutes until we received our first drink!

We always go to the mustard for all our special occasions and are never disappointed! My husband and I went yesterday for lunch and the food was lovely, apart from the food I must say the mustard seed owners should be very proud of thier waiting servers who are very professional and polite and friendly

Excellent in every respect - great food, drinks, atmosphere, staff, service and value. Really interesting and varied modern British menu, all beautifully prepared and served.

Didn't get wine with main meal so disappointed in staff levels not being able to match volume and speed seems to be the focus rather than quality service!

Restaurant was going like a fair, but service was quick, staff were great and food was cracking! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Inverness.

Service quite slow and poor, took ages to be served a drink, felt as though they were short staffed ( especially compared to our previous visit the month before). Food and atmosphere excellent as always.

a first return visit since lockdown. we had friends visiting who all enjoyed their evening. Somehow the noise level has improved! Or I had the best seat!! Quite a problem to solve with the high vaulted ceiling, bare stone work and metal chimneys A credit to Inverness!!

Restaurant was buzzing and very busy but the space catered well for the various groups . Service was excellent , good choices of food - both in daily specials and a la carte. Good wine list with decent house wines by the glass. They also do a special for early dining. . Food was very tasty and cooked well.

We had a truly amazing meal. Staff were attentive throughout and worked really hard as the restaurant was full to capacity.

The quality of the food was exceptional and great value for money. We had a window table upstairs and this really made lunch special for us and our friend.
