Amid the old antique shops dotting Dorking’s well-known West Street in the town centre, there’s a little bit of the new when it comes to food. The New Fountain Garden trades in tradition – delicious Chinese cuisine is what it’s all about here – but nods towards modernity (or does it turn it’s back?) by ensuring that the health-conscious have a home here. No MSG, no artificial flavours or preservatives are allowed in this kitchen. Only fresh ingredients, herbs, spices, and the nous and passion of the chef and his team. Turn to the restaurant’s set menu selection for what the house recommends – and we second. The affordable Chef’s Recommendation menu for two or more features crispy seaweed and dumplings to start, aromatic crispy duck pancakes, sweet and sour pork, sizzling chicken in a black bean sauce, egg fried rice and more. For seafood fans, the luxurious New Fountain Garden's Seafood Special is the go.
we booked online for a meal after a show at dorking halls.we had a lovely meal , friendly staff; all good; what more can I say
Excellent food especially grilled dumplings, sizzler dishes and duck . Friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. Would most certainly go back again
A really lovely restaurant. Food is always good here. My friend had the prawns in ginger and spring onion, which she tells me were absolutely gorgeous. I love their satay beef. We will be back.
