The New Talbot - Quinton

I booked for myself and three friends, it was their first time at the restaurant. The service was well below what I’ve experienced here before. We had to keep asking for things, e.g. our main course order wasn’t taken so we had to wait after eating poppadoms, my friend ordered coffee and was given half a glass full. My other friend ordered a cup of tea, no milk was offered so she had to ask for milk. We waited and waited and then asked another waitress. We waited some more and by the time it arrived her tea was cold. She then discovered that it was hot milk when she’d asked for cold milk, only to be told there was no cold milk. After finishing her coffee my friend asked for the bill, this was placed on the table before we could blink. If only the rest of the service had been so efficient. Overall a disappointing experience this evening after telling friends how good the restaurant was.

Fabulous food as always . Been recommending this place to family and friends since it first opened . This time , we were able to bring along our teenage granddaughter from London , who frequently does eat out . AND SHE LOVED it , even took snaps of the food to send to her mom and friends

Nice food but young servers need to have more training ,had to ask to take our order, didn’t clear away our table very quickly , while standing around hope this is helpful

Food was fab. Waiting a long time for someone to take our order and waited a long time for drinks when we ordered more. Staff pleasant enough.

Really nice food. Nice atmosphere and friendly. The only thing would be to get waiters to come over quicker after giving bill. They didn't seem interested in taking the payment and my husband had to go over to ask them to take payment.

Had to ask 3 times for water ! table booked for 1930 served starter very quick with plastic dishes for sauces as run out of bowls then had to wait until 21.15 for main meal ( the only meal l had so l think having to wait 1 hour 45 minutes to eat after being seated very poor service !!numerous takeout meals were being produced while we were waiting for our meal. Also noted a lot of flies around the inside windows while waiting for our table which when seated for our meal we’re flying around food very off putting. On the positive side food was very good.

It was so noisy that we couldn't have a conversation at all. If it was just me and my husband that would have been a blessing but we were celebrating my mom's birthday.

Brilliant food and service would highly recommend it could probably serve a bit later

Excellent meal again will be visiting again very soon with friends

Only issue was the delay to clean table and that was moved in bits which left table feeling messy. Food fantastic and great location

Had a lovely evening with an old friend and we had exceptional service and the food was amazing. Best lamb rogan josh I’ve had. Very friendly and polite staff.
