Excellent service. Very friendly and helpful waiter. Good meal which amazingly stayed hot throughout. Great place to visit. Be good to see the new decoration when completed.

1. We had a reservation, was invited to sit by one staff person, then-minutes later- was rudely told by another person “this table is reserved!” (Well, it WAS reserved - for us.) 2. There was an extra chair at the table which we did not need; we moved it over against a wall - in no way impeding traffic for others. The same rude staff person brought the chair back to the end of our table - making it impossible for the ladies next to us to get out of their booth and, making it impossible for servers to access one end of our table. 3. Started we’re brought out and within 2 minutes, our mains were delivered as well. 4. Twice, drink orders were not placed. Needed to remind server and we watched him go to POS stand Andy enter the order. 5. Our empty glasses and plates sat in front of us until long after we were finished Butt still visiting. We moved hem to another table and were asked not to do that again. When we said we would not do it again if he would please clear the empty plates/glasses in a timely manner, he turned and walked away without a word. 6. The food was fair, but nothing worth all that frustration. This was the ONLY restaurant on our 8 day visit to Ireland and Scotland where we did not leave a reasonable tip. Felt he didn’t deserve anything but couldn’t bring ourselves to be so rude as to leave $0.

Great atmosphere. Food was good too. I had the balmoral chicken and it was slightly over cooked but the haggis and sauce made up for that. Guinness and steak pie looked much better. The haggis fritters were very greasy, probably would skip those next time. For puddings, sticky toffee pudding was fantastic and the deep fried mars bar was very tasty too. Service was excellent after a short wait for the table.
