As usual, greeted warmly and shown to our table. Food was first class and piping hot. Red cabbage and cauliflower cheese so moorish. Dinner was superb.

Our first visit to the Old Crown, we took friends who had come up from Essex and we all had the carvery. The food was delicious, lots of choice of fresh vegetables, enormous Yorkshire puddings! and lots of delicious meats

Table service was poor. We sat at the table waiting for someone to come to take our order but nobody arrived so we had to go to the bar to order our food which it is fine however we weren’t told about it. Food was relatively good. The space around the table was incredibly small.

Lovely food and lovely staff, the only negative was that the pub was quite clammy (I.e. the windows were all steamed up and because the pub was busy it was a little uncomfortable)

Food was lovely, had a bit of a wait on mains due to a large table and a private party having their food served.

Had to book late table at 530pm and the Carvery was as fresh as it is at 12pm when they open. Very happy at the old crown. Staff are lovely and very welcoming.

Great food! Lived up to the reviews. Just would have liked to been told the protocol for getting a carvery as it was our first time and no vat receipt given either.

Sharon who served us our drinks and food was like a breath of fresh air. Despite being on her own due to a staff member not turning in, she remained friendly, talkative, complimentary, hard working and always wore a smile. It was a pleasure to go to the Crown just to see her. Don't ever change Sharon. Thank you!

Always a beautiful Carvery and staff are very polite and friendly

We went for the Christmas menu on boxing day, the table was ready when we got there , the service was excellent but food was superb. We will definitely be booking for next year .

Me and my two sons ordered on arrival and were served by a very friendly chef. We have never seen Yorkshire puddings like it and they tasted great , the parsnips were so tasty as were all of the meat and veg.It was just like a home made Sunday lunch only better as there was no preparation or washing up after. I can’t wait to go back again.
