We went for the Christmas menu on boxing day, the table was ready when we got there , the service was excellent but food was superb. We will definitely be booking for next year .

Me and my two sons ordered on arrival and were served by a very friendly chef. We have never seen Yorkshire puddings like it and they tasted great , the parsnips were so tasty as were all of the meat and veg.It was just like a home made Sunday lunch only better as there was no preparation or washing up after. I can’t wait to go back again.

As usual the food was of a very high standard This my sixth visit and I believe this is the best value pub food in the area

Me and my sister went out for dinner was greeted warmly by the bar staff and served politely and friendly they couldn’t have welcomed us enough. They came over and checked everything was ok with meals when they had come out to us very pleased with our first visit

Had a lovely time. First visit, but I suspect not the last.

I have had some great meals at this establishment, alas this was not up to their usual standards, the chips were far to thick and therefore were not cooked enough, also as there was a festival on too the staff were so rushed and unable to be as attentive as usual. However this would not deter me from revisiting as I know they are usually on the ball .

We went for carvery and were jot disappointed! Food was amazing, plenty available and all hot, staff were very helpful and friendly. We cannot fault the place, brilliant as always

Best pub I have been in for years. Staff excel in customer service: polite, cheerful and very attentive. We had the Sunday roast which was gorgeous, but the whole menu, including the specials is impressive. Highly recommended.

Me and my partner and parents went for a meal, we have been here before and always had great service and great food. This time we where waiting 45 minutes for our food and when it came it was burnt black. we didn't eat it, the lady be hide the bar asked if we wanted to speak to the manger,we said yes but the manger must have been that busy they couldn't be bored to speak to use. i don't blame the chef as he was working on his own in the kitchen, there was only one person at the bar servicing,bless her she was running around like a head less chicken. this is a note for the manger, do your job as u get payed for it, support your staff and get your finger out.
