Beautiful place with a fantastic menu. Absolutely recommend. I had the fillet steak and it was perfection.

I visited on a busy sunny day so the service was quite slow however the garden is amazing and the food was good.

Very expensive and not worth the prices charged for the food. We were very disappointed and will not be returning

Early evening dinner for two. Had the tasting menu and given I don't eat sweet food they swapped out dessert for cheese. Thank you. All very tasty and we both left very full. Would recommend.

We thought the desert Tiramisu was not good. We have had Tiramisu here and around the world, this was the worst one we have ever had.

We came expecting something good but left with the Old Vol in our top three restaurants ever visited. The meal was delicious from start to finish. Can’t find enough good things to say except this is well worth a visit, whether you’re in the area or not. We’ll be back for sushi in the garden in the summer!

Love this place but tonight’s meal was mixed. Sashimi was fantastic as was banana soufflé, chicken kebabs and chicken Caesar. Cod curry disappointing, very sweet, lamb kebabs soft and claggy, tiramisu heavy.

We ate from the lunch menu - it was really nice - enjoyed everything we had - and would definitely return - have been recommending to friends.

The ambience was very good - a little too warm for us but the decor was superb! Now onto the food … Pretentious ,disappointing ,over priced No flexibility with the menu & autocratic approach when you ask to combine dishes from set menu & a la carte . Small portions - the steak that we paid a supplement for was the chunk size I chop stewing steak into for a casserole - it was 10cm by 5cm ! Unbelievable We decided to have dessert elsewhere as all were left hungry but refused to be further disappointed by staying here ! We were over charged so check your bill!

Hard to criticise as such , food was good but it was the little things that were missing , soft drink out of stock , no serving spoons for veg , no spoon for mint sauce . Felt like we sitting in a busy corridor

Food and service were exceptional. What spoilt it however was being repeatedly asked when settling the bill how we would like to pay the ‘tip’ . As I see it the customer decides how he would like to reward the service and being asked repeatedly definitely puts you off expressing gratitude to those that deserve it.

If you love Sushi, I’d certainly recommend. The chicken thigh Skewers were so tasty and tender. The renovations are really modern and tasteful. An overall lovely dining experience.

Loved the decor and atmosphere, good portions, attentive staff and tasty food (we had Sunday lunch) my meal was perfect, husband said that the beef was a little tough for him but a good experience overall.
