We took advantage of "eat out to help out" and were impressed with the quality of our food - an absolutely delicious pie, followed by a fab sticky toffee pudding. All precautions were in place and it felt very safe. We are fortunate to have such a great pub/restaurant within walking distance of home.

This is our favourite place and it never disappoints the food is amazing but the staff are what really make this place. Everyone is welcoming and attentive but not too over the top. Lovely meal fory MIL birthday

Amazing food and service - can not recommend highly enough

It was very busy and had to wait for quite a while before our order was taken. However, the main meal was really good but we didn't hang around for dessert. Probably will go again when not so busy.

My husband And I enjoyed a really lovely meal at the Volunteer. Food exceptional and Staff very friendly. Already booked for next week.

Our first trip back since the changes, but still a great venue and very friendly welcome. The resturanet was full for the first "Eat Out" night, but everyone looked to be having a wonderful evening. We were very happy with the menu and the food was excellent.

Friendly welcome and comfortable venue. There was a good choice on the menu and the two course menu was very good value . Food had excellent presentation and was hot and tasty . We will be returning.

Great choice of food and drink in modern bar restaurant overlooking the countryside. Excellent service as ever. Love the snug area which I will enjoy in the winter.

Very disappointed lamb was fatty and chewy beef was only a little better Eaton mess had hardly any meringue and some of the strawberries were hard saving grace were the staff being attentive and friendly. Sad to say we left with no wish to hurry back on a Sunday but may give it another try midweekx

Our lunch was very tasty, we had a fairly long wait for our food but it was freshly cooked and hot when it arrived. The atmosphere was lovely. The menu isn’t extensive but it’s very good quality food and the setting is great.

Waiting staff were efficient, friendly and attentive. The starter was good, but the main course was a little disappointing. The risotto was tasty but a little stodgy. We requested some macaroons with our coffee to be told that they had run out; was given some biscuits instead and still charged. The Restaurant was light and pleasantly decorated. We wont be going back.
