Very good food served by equally good staff. Very friendly.
food was good but notvespecially noteworthy although saag sauce excellent.
Great friendly service. Vgood Poppadoms and chutney, Chicken Pakoras excellent. Mains unfortunately for me very bland no where near enough spice and quite sloppy. Have been to The Painted Heron many times but not for a few years and have raved about it to friends and family. The food is just not as good as it used to be and the decoration needs a make over. It was telling that at 9pm on a Friday night the restaurant was nearly empty! One other small point was that I was not keen on the TPH sign not sure what was wrong with the Old Paired Heron sign
What an amazing hidden local gem - the food was fantastic, the restaurant spotlessly clean and cosy and the staff were wonderful - I have no idea why this place is half empty as it deserves to be full every night - I will definitely be back and will tell all my friends to visit too - well done TPH!

Food was excellent, service first class and decor superb. I really like this restaurant and appreciated the exceptional quality and amounts of food given. It was certainly somewhere I will return to !
Unfortunately the Restaurant was very quiet when we arrived for early dinner at 7.30 and this obviously influenced our enjoyment of the venue. The food was ordinary.
