More about The Parlour, Nottingham

If we’re being honest, visiting The Parlour is one of the best decisions you’ll make. Situated in a prime position on Bridgford Road in West Bridgford, just out of the Nottingham city centre, the food is of supreme quality. The team here take their inspiration from all corners of the globe, so you’ll find a range of delicious international delights. Keep an eye out for the egg benedict Cumberbatch a delightful take on the classic brunch dish but topped with truffle oil and bacon – or bacon rain, as the restaurant puts it. For later, try out some tapas dishes, the Spanish chorizo in particular with honey and sherry vinegar. Or, for the hearty among us, go for The Parlour tagine – we told you it’s international.

Now, one thing you’re best to keep in mind. No visit to The Parlour is complete without a cocktail. These guys are experts when it comes to mixology, so settle in for some seriously tasty tipples. For those who are on the sweet side of the fence, the popcorn mai tai with spiced rum, popcorn syrup and pineapple juice is for you, or if you’re a fan of a zesty and refreshing option, we love the fizzy gin garden with gin, elderflower, mint, apple, cucumber and lime, topped with prosecco. This is only the tip of the iceberg so we advise you pop down to this West Bridgford spot, just out of Nottingham centre, as soon as you can!

The atmosphere was brilliant very vibrant, we arrived early and saw the the seamless change from high tea to early evening. It's nice to see a place that welcomes all especially children. The food was brilliant a must is the teriyaki skewers and the chicken wings. The cocktails are a blast and the service is second to none. The next visit I will bring along all my family, it's that kind of a place where family can go enjoy food and relax and not feel pushed out of the door. It really is a hidden gem in west bridgford.

Strange... You can't Seriously Beleive that the Value of the Tea was good Value At £40.90 ? Now my Son Purchased the Tea on Groupon for I think £20.. A bottle of Presseco included that's got to be ok.. And ok is all that it was.. Service was Shocking Having never been in the Place before we wasn't aware you had to Actually order Tea with your Afternoon Tea.. Until being told Rather Abruptly well you never ordered it.. Hmmmm... I Hate giving Bad Reviews but this Establishment realy need to start Again And Train Staff on Customer Service. Young Girls obviously had no training or any Idea how to look after customers.. Not once did Anyone come to follow up on Satisfaction.. I had to Ask for Butter for my scone only to be told I can get you some if you want rubbing his hands through his hair And Baird talking to his mate for 2 mins with butter in his hand.. Honestly clueless about Customer service.. I for one will not be Viseting again.Cramped up on A table for two.. I think not...

I had a nice visit to The Parlour today with friends. They asked if they could have scones instead of cake and were given two lovely scones with jam and cream. Well done to The Parlour.

The music was too loud at first, as we were seated next to a speaker, but it was no problem to move tables. The waitress was very helpful and accommodating throughout our visit, explaining options to us, and letting us share some sandwiches and cream teas between us, so we all had just the amount we wanted. Fast service and pleasant quirky venue. Toilets are clean, situated down a flight of stairs. Reasonable cost and the cream teas were particularly nice - fresh, soft scones and good cream and jam, just the right consistency and amount (imho!)

Went for afternoon tea with my Mum and really enjoyed ourselves. The portions were ample - I thought there wasnt much when it arrived but there was no way I could eat anything more when I left. Lovely place, very vintage. Friendly service although they were run off their feet - they could probably do with one more helper. Recommended we will be back.
