There wad delicious food, very good service and a nice atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it. . . . . . . . . .
Delicious food and excellent service. Very warmly welcomed and not hassled for ordering . House wine average quality but not overly priced. Desserts expensive for £7.00
Lovely food and friendly staff. Will be making it a regular on the list of places to eat. Look forward to trying their Sunday lunch
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Very busy but well catered for. We come here about twice a year. Only fault, there’s no baby changing facilities.
Had a really lovely Sunday lunch...would definitely go back! The Barnes Wallis roast was delicious and it was a great way to celebrate my son's 21st birthday!
Very friendly service and great food. Really enjoyed the Sunday Roast and such a great Idea to have a small portion option available for us.
Very good service, great beer and wine and lovely food. Really enjoyed the evening with my wife and daughter.
We’ve been going there for 30 years so we have high expectations. Under new management now. Great staff, food was tasty but lukewarm. Veg was almost cold. Just need to up their game a bit and it will be back to being really good.
Wonderful Sunday roast once again. Beautiful, tender roast beef and the friendly staff took lots of time to help us to choose gluten-free meals. We’ll be back!
We were served excellent fresh food, which was cooked well and presented attractively. The Plough was a welcoming and attractive venue. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Thoroughly recommended
Lovely staff, food was really delicious and good atmosphere. We booked 45 mins before eating via Quandoo and found everything ready and waiting. Highly recommend.
Nice service and the management offered us some complimentary drinks when they spotted it was my birthday, which we were thrilled with! Roast was good and portion sizes excellent.
What a gem. Fabulous Sunday lunch with great service and a stunning g&t to boot. Lovely staff and a beautiful pub in a quiet location. We shall return!
This is the first visit since the new management and it was a disappointment. The menu looked pretty much the same but with more meat dishes. My sausages were nowhere near as tasty as they used to be and a friend's beef burger was reported as not being hot enough. The fish that my wife had was not a good as previous versions. However the service was friendly and efficient and the prices were less than before.
Lovely traditional friendly pub that serves good food in a small dining area. The Provence rose and steak were both excellent. We’ll be back again.
WENT WITH FRIENDS WHO HAD NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE WE ALL ENJOYED THE FOOD AND THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY BUT A GLASS OF WHITE HOUSE WINE WAS £9.90 WHICH I THOUGHT WAS EXPENSIVE
Really lovely food. Service was good but we did have to just ask a couple of time for things. Great overall evening which our group enjoyed.
Staff attentive and helpful. Prompt service. Smaller but ample portion of fish and chips absolutely delicious. Home made ice creams wonderful as usual. Excellent local pub.
Great food, friendly staff, fast service and a beautiful, serene garden out the back. One of the best roasts in the area. Would definitely go again
Friendly welcome, chatty staff at a busy time of the afternoon. Very good selection of local ales and variety of beverages, excellent pub food and very efficient staff. Beautiful garden, lovely lounges/seating, all very laid back and a wonderful afternoon spent in the garden taking drinks after our meals. Thank you, Steve B.
Good choice of menu and Great tasting food in a well presented pub. the staff are very helpfull and accommodating, would highly recommend dinning here
2 of us had the honey & garlic pork chop on the specials board. It was very disappointing. No taste of honey & garlic and both the chop and ‘creamy mash’ were dry and tasteless. The risotto also lacked taste (and seasoning?). I had emailed the pub to tell them we were bringing a dog. A quick acknowledgement would have been courteous (most pubs do) but I didn’t receive anything. I did tell the waitress about the chop. She said she’d have a word in the kitchen but never came back to us on it. Everyone was very polite but they have some way to go before being an efficiently run pub.
Great food. Good service. Pub made our party very welcome. I highly recommend the pub to anyone who wants fresh cooked food, good beers and a warm welcome.
A very pleasant lunch in agreeable surroundings. Good food from the daily board, fresh tasting hake with with an excellent peppers melange with it. Very good
We were asked to order drinks from our table rather than at the bar in a fairly blunt way - not ideal. And it is a pub. The bread with a number of dishes was sliced packet brown. It is still a good pub, but has moved in the wrong direction since the recent change in management.
It was fine. Service was good, menu interesting and it was not too crowded. Will probably come back again in due course. Thank you very much.
It was a very pleasant experience but we thought it was rather expensive for what it was. Good food, good service but not good value.
