Friendly service and fresh and seasonal food. Very nice pub.

Excellent food and service. Had to wait a longer time for desserts but overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Our first visit since the change of ownership and it was excellent. Good, unpretentious food with a varied menu - and not overpriced. Helpful staff and I had requested a quiet table and they had made sure they had reserved one for us. We will definitely be back.

Sunday roast overall very good , but the Yorkshire puddings were rather flat and not very nice.

Good food (but not exceptional) and service as always but at £80 a couple it’s just too expensive. The restaurant/pub was quiet, the decor nothing special.

Lovely pub, nicely decorated but our tables were between the door to the garden that kept opening and the ladies' toilet. Service was OK but waiters didn't know about the cut of beef when we asked about it. Within 5 minutes of ordering, our food arrived. Disappointingly, the food was tepid warm and the beef was grey and very unappetising. It had the feel of being warmed up rather than just being cut off the joint. The vegetables too, were warm and 'warmed up' rather than fresh. The manager assured us the (roast) beef had been COOKING FOR 24 HOURS??? and was fresh and the vegetables were freshly cooked. Would love this to have been a new pub to put on our list but would definitely not go back as the food was so poor.

We took my dad out for his 85 birthday. He had a nice time and the food was great (apart from my peas being cold). Great service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Haven’t had a better Sunday lunch out in a very long time. Great quality food, cooked beautifully. Good wine, great gins & good beer. Simple, stylish decor which compliments the original features. Homely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Gem of a pub

We all had an excellent roast lunch in very happy and convivial surroundings. The service was attentive as always!

Lovely food, but especially impressed with service. Super young waiter, with a great eye for detail. When I asked for no bread with my Irish Stew he asked whether it was because I was gluten free or just didn’t want bread. Also, liked the fact that we could choose which, and how many cheeses to have on the cheese board. Good stuff!

Really enjoy the Plough the only thing and its not just the Plough my wife is Gluten Free and when it comes to Puddings there is a lack of choice and she normally end up with a scoop of icecream.
