Amazing food and great service best steak and a sharing platter was enough for me and two kids

If you are looking for excellent local produce and the novelty of cooking your own steak on volcanic rock, then look no further. There’s no fancy decor, just friendly front of house and really good food.

A fantastic place to eat. Been there 3 times and never disappointed. Very friendly staff who are totally on the ball. Prices are very reasonable too. Recommend to anyone.

Absolutely fabulous, great atmosphere, good wine, amazing food and very friendly staff. What a great experience cooking your own steak over a hot stone. First class cuts of meat, all cuts to cater for every steak requirement. Best Steak House in Carlisle by far. We'll definitely be back soon for a follow up visit.

Great way to do steaks service was good although starters were a bit limited as we went on a Sunday evening. Happy to recommend and would go back if I was in Carlisle again

We both enjoyed our food, salmon steak and stuffed sardines. No steak on this occassion. Service was good. And you can park next to restaurant.

Excellent meal, would recommend a visit. After starters of king prawns, followed by really tasty tender steaks we unfortunatly didn't have room for a sweet!

Birthday celebration for my sons 18th. All six of us had great meals. Service was excellent and we all had a great time. Would definitely recommend it.

Wasn’t impressed by the king prawn starters or the steak sauce (house sauce and bernise sauce) meal however was delicious. The steaks ,sirloin and rib eye were sucullent.

Excellent service and food of a very high quality. Really enjoyed our night. The steak had hardly any fat on it and was perfect. Also enjoyed cooking it on the volcanic rock so I could cook it how I wanted it.

Has usual the Staff were very pleasant and the meals were Beautiful we wouldn't go anywhere else for a steak this was a birthday celebration for my brother which he enjoyed

Good all round experience form owner's to staff great steaks cooked on a hot stone a bit like 70s fondo fun ,plus fresh garden pea's lovely

The food was first rate. A unique dining experience for Carlisle where the steak comes on the hot stone allowing you to cook it to exactly how you like it. I have eaten steaks in a lot of other restaurants and paid more for an inferior meal. The waiting staff were very attentive and I didn't hesitate to tip them. Would definitely recommend!

The food was great... staff friendly but the atmosphere and decor leaves a lot to be desired. The plain dark red walls were oppressive..will not be going again.

Really good experience. Staff were friendly and efficient and well motivated to provide great service. Food choice and quality was good. We weren't expecting the steaks to arrive on hot rocks though, which, whilst fun, made us wonder why we were asked how we'd like our steaks cooked. Within minutes of being served, all were well done as there was no space to put the meat to stop it being overcooked. I'd have preferred to receive the steak raw and on the side so I could cook it myself. Needs a bit more thought, maybe ... Overall, though, a great experience, well worth the money, and we'd happily return whenever we're back in the area.
