Great restaurant lovely food and friendly staff. First visit so pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Would recommend. We will be returning for another meal definitely.

Lovely atmos service really good with friendly helpful staff. Food very good but vegan curry not as good as last time as mostly made of chickpeas..but still tasty.

Great food and great blackboard specials. Service was prompt and with a smile. This place has really improved over the years and is still improving.

The service was excellent and the food was too. We thoroughly enjoyed Sunday lunch and we will go back again. I would not hesitate to recommend The Railway Inn. The only reason I didn’t give full marks was that I felt cold where we were sat.

Been here before and loved it so much we went back. For some reason today was not so good. Main meal came very quickly but we were not asked if we wanted a dessert. I had to ask a waitress who was passing table. Then we waited an hour and had to ask again only for my dessert to arrive cold and with very little custard. I asked for more custard and was told they had run out. I was offered cream instead which I accepted after they heated my crumble. In fairness the owner apologised and took our desserts off the bill. In saying all that, I ask would we go back? The answer to that is yes as the food is very good and usually the service is good.

Lovely cosy feel to the restaurant, great service, made to feel immediately welcome. Nicely varied menu and specials boards. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, great value and already booked to return. Thank you!

Great evening with the family last evening . Great hosts , lovely ambience, from the comfy chairs for pre dinner drinks to the amazing roasts and home made puddings . Will be visiting again very soon , great pub for the winter ahead .

Service was very slow. Food was cold and not as described on the menu. The wrong sauce came with my steak and I received blue cheese instead of bernaise. I have a severe allergy to blue cheese. Very disappointed as the venue wAs lovely but service and food quality not great.

Food was amazing but they were very busy so had to wait 45 mins with our 2 hungry children. Didn’t put us off though as the staff were great and the decor nice. Ginormous portions! Definitely recommend as long as you don’t mind waiting.

Food was generally good quality although the chocolate brownies had clearly been microwaved and had gone hard around the sides. One main meal was also missing from the order so had to wait by which time everyone else on the table had finished eating.

We visited on Mothering Sunday and it was very busy. We loved our roast dinners, and the serving ce was good. We would definitely visit again.

Food and service excellent. Only slight negative was the cackling older women on the next table. Far too noisy for a 6 o'clock reservation. Chicken wings and ribs were very tasty.

Food and ambience first class. Only one criticism. As the ceilings are vaulted the cacophony of people talking makes it very noisy. Much better if there was no music. Otherwise, will definitely go back again.

Friendly and good service. Don't expect your food to come out 10mins after ordering. Everything is freshly cooked and fantastic quality. Never had a shoddy meal and we have been here many times

Lovely food. Great service. There were 8 of us for Saturday evening. The ribs were lovely and the puddings were brilliant. We all enjoyed the evening.

We have visited several times. Always a warm welcome, Winter is lovely with the log burner. Summer you can use the garden A well presented menu all beautifully cooked including vegetarian options So pleased it's local

Lovely pub with great food, generous helpings and attentive staff Although I do not have a dog it was good to see how dog friendly the pub was, all well behaved too! First time of visiting and will certainly be back

Chose this restaurant by the positive reviews and that it catered for vegans. We were not disappointed! There were 6 of us, we had a lovely big table in lovely surroundings and the food was delicious! Friendly staff and efficient service. We will definitely be going back and wouldn't hesitate recommending The Railway Inn to others. We all had a really nice evening!

Excellant service and lovely food. Only criticism is the New Zealand Marlborough bottle of wine we ordered was not cold. The waitress said it had come from the cellar as there was none in the fridge . We had to put ice cubes in the wine which is not ideal . Please can you ensure your fridges are stocked up in future!

It was a very good evening. The service was excellent and food was good. the place was very clean an quie so you could have a chat . Would recommend it to others.

The service was friendly and attentive, however they could have known more about the menu and the music in the dinning area could have been softer. The food was of high standard and extremely delicious. Booking on line was quick and easy. I would recommend an evening at the Railway

Lovely atmosphere, great food (we all had a roast). Perhaps a slice or two more of the meat for our two growing teenage sons but otherwise fantastic, we'll definitely be returning. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

This pub has turned round in the last few years to a great place for eating meeting and generally having a great meal with family and friends of all ages . A family run place making you feel comfortable straight away . Have to mention the music ... Love it !

Had a lovely evening at the railway inn. The food was fantastic, I thoroughly recommend the blade of beef. The staff were very welcoming and the service was first class.

We had an absolutely brilliant evening. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Plenty of choice on the menu and every dish that was ordered was beautifully presented and cooked to, in my view, perfection. Will definitely be eating there again, especially for special occasions. I will certainly be recommending them to all my friends and family.

Lovely food, big portions, very friendly and attentive staff. good choice of veg options as had 2 vegetarians in party. Pudding were amazing, especially chocolate brownie

OurFood was cold when we received it. The roast potatoes tasted as though they had been cooked in reused oil which was a disappointment. We did receive a 25% discount on the bill to compensate.

All members of our party of seven were very happy with their various main courses and desserts. The topside of beef was especially good whilst the vegetarian lasagne and sticky toffee pudding were highly rated. A good range of drinks was available including a "Railway Inn" real ale. Prices for both food and drink were reasonable whilst the service was friendly and efficient.

Delicious Sunday roast with perfectly cooked vegetables followed by a tasty crumble. Service was great, would definitely recommend - just maybe consider sharing a pudding!

Great atmosphere, Service and Food - a first class experience. There is always a warm welcome, the drink and food are first rate with a wonderful varied menu of both. Service is paced just right and excellent - the Railway is always spotlessly clean and we always a great time when we visit. Very impressed.
