It was closed - we drove 2 hours to see our daughter at uni and booked the table for 2.30 to arrive and it was closed
Food was well presented and very nice. It did take a while to come but was still hot and very enjoyable.. Chocolate torte dessert was especially creative. The venue is relaxing but being that the food area is not separated from the drinking section, as the meal went on so did the volume of noise from the adjacent tables of drinkers which spoilt the atmosphere a bit. Ran out of fish but took 20 mins to inform us and change order
The main reason for us going to the reindeer was the Tomahawk steak on T-Bone Tuesdays. Unfortunately they don't do that anymore. Food was very nice, service was correct and the beer and cider selection is still very good.
Located in the heart of Norwich, The Reindeer Pub is passionate about two things: food and beer. Which suits us just fine. Serving over 20 delicious craft and world beers alongside British food so good it’s all you be left thinking about for quite some time, The Reindeer Pub in the city centre is perfect for any occasion. This rustic pub is home to a private dining space as well as an ‘old brewery’ that’s ideal for tucking into delicious dishes and offers a relaxing, casual atmosphere for food lovers and beer connoisseurs. So, what’s the deal with the menu, then?
Well, in terms of food, in addition to what we mentioned earlier, we recommend you keep an eye out for the duck liver parfait served with toast and orange and the salmon gravlax and apple pancake topped with creme fraiche for starters. Then, the coconut, pumpkin and chickpea curry with wild rice and pickled cucumber or Hereford sirloin served with field mushrooms, tomato and onion rings will go down just right. You’ll find so much more on offer at The Reindeer Pub in Norwich city centre, that you’ll have to come back time and time again – if only just to work your way through this enticing British menu. Be sure to make a reservation, though, as this Dereham Road spot is a local favourite with good reason indeed!
