Food was good, service was pleasant and attentive. Only thing that could be better was more veggie selection on the menu.

Beautiful pub with a great ambiance. The food is ‘so so’. If you want a good evening with friends, this is you’re place. If you want a culinary experience, this is not your place.

Mussels are delicious, very succulent and a decent size, enjoyed on our last two visits.

Very welcoming staff who were very attentive and efficient. Dog friendly pub. Excellent food although a bit limited on menu choice.

The bad: I asked if they could do the Camembert gluten free, with gf bread or even vegetable sticks. They had no gf bread (very unusual these days for a pub/restaurant) and no spare vegetables. So we just had two roast dinners with no starter. The pork was nice but not enough vegetables really (couldn’t have cauliflower cheese as not gf and no substitute). The beef looked lovely but was incredibly tough to cut and then chew which was the worst part of the meal. It was a special meal for my partner’s birthday and his beef was extremely disappointing. We wondered if the chef had even tried it. He ordered a second pint of cider, which never came but did appear on the bill requiring correction. The good: staff were friendly enough, and service was very quick for the food. Decor and ambience were nice. We were out within the hour.

This is a great find, superb food in a lovely environment with a good wine list and great service. This is more than one level above pub food, we are definitely coming back.

Met by a very helpful lady who confirmed our booking and drinks order. Chap with a beard took the order but food was slow to arrive. We asked him for more drinks but they never arrived but I noticed he got himself a drink and went and sat with people at another table. Asked lady for drink and they arrived quickly. Overall good but chap with beard could do with leaving the attitude behind. Apart from that good.

The food was very good but the service was very poor. Not enough staff and the ones they had seemed very new.
