Friendly welcome , absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend a visit
Every care was taken to ensure a safe area to dine, we were welcomed with a very warm greeting and the food was delicious. We have booked for next weekend too!
Such a wonderful family run pub with great food, ales, atmosphere and a very warm welcome!
Great food , great friendly staff , always very welcoming .
Amazing food and friendly service as it has been whenever we have visited.
Had a lovely meal today. This was our first visit to the royal oak, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the carvery was delicious.
Met friends there for lunch. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Staff were all very friendly. The Ladies toilets were not good. The one that had a door which would shut had no toilet paper - and this was at 12.30 pm, and the other the door would not shut because the lock and handle were hanging off!
Just had my granddaughters 18th birthday meal there, most excellent.
first time visiting the royal oak and really enjoyed the food and the friendly staff , would most definitely visit again 100% !

Amazing food, warm friendly pub and the service was great. We will definitely go there again!
Had a great time. Food was great as always. Staff very friendly.
This is a marvellous place to visit with kids family and dogs. Wait was rather long though to be fair quite a few large parties. Need to fix loos. Very accommodating with ordering what people wanted.
Very welcoming, good service and tasty food. Will return sometime.
Lovely food and equally good service. I would recommend the royal oak for Sunday roast
Overall very good. A very large party and quiz night possibly made the difference between very good and excellent. We would not normally book if we are aware of quiz nights
Hot African curry was fab, great service all was perfect
A great pub with excellent hosts and a superb sunday roast. was a great choice to break up our journey home.
Great food, great service and brilliant value for money. We’ll be back.
Fantastic food! The best carvery. I can see why you have to book! Will definitely be back
Really lovely meal with great selection of meat and vegetables. Parsnips were slightly under cooked, but personal preference to be crispy. Older members of group found the pricing structure difficult to grasp, usually one price for carvery meals.
Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend to other people.
This was the first time we had been to The Royal Oak, we got a very warm welcome on arrival. Lovely friendly atmosphere and a very good choice on the menu, the food was excellent. Would highly recommend a visit and will definitely go again.
As a new customer I was delighted with our first visit to The Royal Oak. I rebooked for another lunch.
Lovely pub great staff and good food. I'd go back.
Absolutely excellent, far exceeds anywhere else in the area. Thank
Fantastic pub, owners and food- a great place to visit
Great food, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. We will be back!
Good food, friendly bar staff. Busy, lively, local pub. Would go back again.
Amazing roast dinner, gravy was to die for! Excellent value for money for the amount of food you get. The lady who greeted us when we arrived was very lovely and made us feel welcome. Will definitely come again!!
Superb carvery, very friendly landlords, well kept beers, 10/10 thank you
Very friendly and welcoming. Good food in a lovely village pub.
Sunday lunch- choice of five meats, eight vegetables all presented well and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice, friendly pub. We arrived not knowing they were only serving Pizza and Prosecco as a dinner choice. The food was nice but a bit pricey at £16 for a pizza and a small bottle of Prosecco (which We didn’t want!). So a meal of pizza (no accompaniments) for 4 cost us £42!
We had very good food and service. The landlord was very helpful given us lots of information about the menu as well. They have a selection of craft beer as well as wines . We left at the end of our evening wanting to come back with friends.
Really good experience. Lots of interesting beers and food was hearty and delicious.
Lovely pub, great atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food is absolutely excellent. Thoroughly recommend a visit or two at the very least.
