Enjoyed my food (Herbivore Pizza) & service was good. Only issue was got very busy and people waiting to come in were lined up along the exit route (less than half a meter apart), although all in masked, social distancing is still required. Entrance and Exit routes should be kept separate.
Venue was well organised for Covid precautions, service was quick and the food was delicious
The Royal Redgate Fenny Drayton is a perfect excuse to get out of the city and enjoy some fantastic food along with the clean country air as it’s only a 30 minute drive from the centre of Birmingham. If you’re in for lunch, we recommend tucking into the baked jacket potato topped with house chilli and cheddar or the basa fish, salmon and leek pie served with hand-cut chips. Or, why not order the classic British ploughman's lunch that’s brimming with ham hock, Sparkenhoe red Leicester, fresh bread, pickled onions and homemade piccalilli? Washed down with an ale or glass of wine and you’ve got yourself the perfect lunch at The Royal Redgate Nuneaton.
For dinner, it’s best to arrive to The Royal Redgate Nuneaton with a hungry appetite because trust us when we say, you’ll want to sample everything. Start with the ham hock terrine; seared scallops and butcher’s board, before moving onto a succulent steak sourced from locally-reared grass-fed Hereford beef, served with all the trimmings. We also love the lemon-thyme roast chicken; slow-cooked sticky ribs and the roasted roots casserole – it’s really all delicious. All this alongside stone-baked pizzas, gluten- and lactose-free menus and an excellent drinks list means you’ll be well-fed and well-watered, that’s for sure. So make your way to Fenny Drayton just out of Nuneaton and be ready for a great experience at The Royal Redgate on Watling Street.
